JS1 as seat assignment on boarding pass?

First time I've heard of this post 9/11. I'd love to get JS1..but they wouldn't dare let an aviation fan like me on the flight deck..!

US Navy 737s with bite in Australia

Looks mean, nice stuff. The good thing about the SLAM-ER is that it is capable of attacking both land and sea targets. Would love to see Aus get these!

Hackers could bring down new 787 .

All computers are vulnerable to an extent. Unless the would-be hacker decides to rummage around the cabin pulling out wires in the galley, I don't see the issue. Keeping IFE on an isolated network is always a wise move though.

Could you fly the plane in an emergency?????????

While there might be some truth to that statement, if you don't know how to exactly enter the ILS data (notwithstanding the complex nav steps before receiving vectors to actually intercept the localiser & glidescope) I think most people including myself would be in a lot of poo. I do...

Could you fly the plane in an emergency?????????

It is my understanding that PTT on the 380 is the front trigger on the stick... the red button is AP aka potential failure :P

Could you fly the plane in an emergency?????????

As JB has articulated several times, it would be very tricky for an inexperienced person to have a "crack".. If there was no one else experienced on the plane then I'd go for it..hopefully there is though!

    Black q bag tag

No, because it's fulfilling its purpose (finding other AFF'ers). If you check in your carry on every so often then that would also be fine IMO. I suppose it's more when flying I see DYKWIA. Outside of flying people are probably unlikely to know much about FF and wouldn't give two thoughts...

    Black q bag tag

More to the point, why do people attach their tags to carry on? Just makes you look like a wanker. Understandable if you sometimes check in your carry on but I've seen some on laptop cases and handbags...
