Was advised by CS that DPS and HKT don't usually release availability for upgrade redemption fares. That being said, J was 7/8 and full J fares are $1k+ so quite impressed there... Pretty sure TT have upgrades though (but who would want to PE!)

Im pretty sure the PE meals are Y meals ... only difference was asked at beginning of flight for meal choices and then hand delivered (foil on) instead of using trolley. Could do with an improvement.

Did a DPS to SYD (~6hrs) redeye. Ate food, slept and woke up in SYD. Wasn't the best position to sleep in but easily sufficed but I was too tired to care really. Make her run around for a whole day and sleep deprive her until the flight - guarantee she will get a sound sleep. Pity can't lift...

Flying slower does not necessarily save fuel - it actually costs more fuel to travel the same distance! There are optimal speeds to fly at for best fuel consumption vs distance traveled, though these are always bound by ATC directives. Also note ATC does not bias between airlines - to them each...
