    Booking return flights originating overseas

Hmm I see your point, but I'm not sure I agree with your conclusions. We agree that everything is fine up until the return to Australia. Now, the previous trip out and back is over and forgotten. If my return to Asia needs to be cancelled I can show the insurance company both requirements. I'll...

    Booking return flights originating overseas

I think I'd still be fine in this situation. My CC just requires me to spend $1k (for both of us) on any expense of the trip to be covered. If I have to cancel the flight back out of Australia, I can show the price of that airfare was put on the card and I should be covered? The fact that the...

    Booking return flights originating overseas

Good point, I will check this out. I've been looking at having to pay insurance and the extra cost eats a long way into potential savings by booking overseas return flights.

    Booking return flights originating overseas

    Booking return flights originating overseas

My wife and I are Australian but have spent most of the last 10 years living in Malaysia. We now divide our time between Malaysia and Australia travelling back and forth each three months. As return flights from Malaysia to Australia are far cheaper than return flights from Australia, I'm...

    Lounge Access Help Desk

Hi, I'll soon be travelling MEL-SFO on UA61 in J, booked as part of a RTW fare with Lufthansa. I'm assuming I can use either Air NZ or SA lounges on departure. Can anyone tell me if there are any lounges I'd be able to access on arrival into SFO at 0830?

    LAX car hire

Thanks to the contributors to this thread so far - very useful information. I am looking at extended car hire in the USA later this year and wonder if anyone has gone the route of hiring the car (excluding insurances) direct from a US company and self-insuring separately? One example that...
