Quick Question - Domestic Business Classic Award - Lounge Access??

Thanks for the clarification ozbeachbabe. Goes to show you how spoilt you can get (and by 'you' I mean me) with status :-) The child traveling with her is an infant so there shouldn't be any issue getting him in from that point of view as long as mrsntaus has access. /me goes to book award...

Quick Question - Domestic Business Classic Award - Lounge Access??

A quick question which I haven't been able to find a quick answer to either on AFF or via our good friend Google (Which I realise effectively amounts to the same thing). I am looking to book SYD-BNE in a couple of weeks time for my wife who is currently NB. On the way there I was looking to...

A380 to Hong Kong [from Jan 15th, QF127/QF128]

My mistake was that I was actually looking at flights SYD to HKG rather than HKG to LHR. I'm sure at one point I got a result of $11k specifically in AUD but that may have been for dates right at the furthest point of the booking cycle as I'm not able to replicate it for the same dates now.

A380 to Hong Kong [from Jan 15th, QF127/QF128]

Except in our case we won't be booking direct with Qantas for the BA leg. Either direct with BA along with a few intra-Europe flights or possibly with Cathay if they get their act together sale wise. Speaking of which I still don't understand what the deal is with Cathay's web site and their...

A380 to Hong Kong [from Jan 15th, QF127/QF128]

I completely agree. My parents fly regularly to the UK (at least once a year) and frequently flew through Hong Kong on the way - there is a certain connection for people from the UK to HK due to its' history I guess. With Disneyland for the kids and plenty of shopping for SWMBO it's definitely...

A380 to Hong Kong [from Jan 15th, QF127/QF128]

Qantas flying A380 SYD - HKG from 15th of January So it seems that the rumour speculated on previously here are true as per the Red-e-Mail email that I'm sure many of you will have received: "Fly Qantas A380 to Hong Kong on selected flights and enjoy non-stop relaxation From 15 January...

TR - Five Days in Tokyo (a.k.a My Very First Trip Report)

Saturday 05/03/11: - Tokyo Disneyland On the whole Saturday was a fairly straightforward day. We left the hotel a little later than planned and made the now familiar trip to Ebisu station in order to make our way towards Maihama station and Disneyland. Changing at Tokyo Station for the...

    Everyday Rewards Qantas Credit Card

Interestingly this months statement came with an additional mailer that included an application form for an additional cardholder! At least their systems are working well enough to flag that I requested an additioanl cardholder some months ago ;-) ntaus

TR - Five Days in Tokyo (a.k.a My Very First Trip Report)

Friday 04/03/11: Thankfully the flight up to Tokyo was fairly uneventful. The Captain had mentioned the possibility of a few bumps as we passed the Equator and I ended up being awake at that time, but there was really nothing more than the standard slight turbulence for most of the trip...

TR - Five Days in Tokyo (a.k.a My Very First Trip Report)

The Qantas new bag tag test - how long will they last?

Well mine made it okay from SYD to NRT and back without any sign of damage or loss of a tag. Not that I expect them to last as unscathed in anything more substantial than this such as a RTW or significant trip through the States. ntaus

TR - Five Days in Tokyo (a.k.a My Very First Trip Report)

Thursday 03/03/11: We head over to the IL's place in Brighton with the kids earlier in the day on the Thursday. Given that we were about to leave the boys there for the longest period of time either of us (my wife and I) had been away from the kids we were keen to make sure everything ran as...

Qantas Restaurants that HAVE or HAVE NOT awarded points

re: Qantas Restaurants that DO or DO NOT award points At the risk of bumping an old message, I had a experience today with 'The Rocks Teppanyaki' which I understand to be related to 'Kobe Jones', both of which are meant to offer QFF points. The meal was nice enough, if a little expensive for...
