Well I did have to pick up my bags in Sydney and shlep them over to Domestic even though the were tagged to Melbourne. Something to do with customs ! Now if that has changed since early Jan that's great but the whole inconvenience is a pain.

Our company has considerable travel between Vancouver and San Francisco and our travel provider are suggesting Air NZ as its easier to TFR in AKL than to transfer from International in Syd to Domestic and shlep over with your bags and risk missing connecting flights. I hope they make it through the process and come out a stronger player. Lots of talk about becoming a budget airline. Not a fan of that personally. I think that 2 class domestic is the way to go. Keeps Qantas in check.

Thanks goodness for this thread I thought it was just me. last week I tried to book regular paid tickets and had that issue so just went over to another airline and locked in flights with them. Was a very last minute trip and didn't have time to mess around.

Flew On QF37 last night VH-EBC only 1 bathroom and not pleasant as a passenger had food poisoning and this made the single bathroom access not easy to the point that they sent us to the economy toilets. Not a biggie but Qantas please get the lead out and sort the schedule.

Sydney Plat/Gold/Business lane manned this morning by 2 Qantas Staff/ Main cabin lane nothing and some bigger bags than mine going through the Xray. Mine was 7.5kg at the kiosk weight digital unit. At Premium entry it gained .5kg. I mentioned it and shoulders were shrugged.
