Rex launches its own frequent flyer program (in October 2023)

Has anyone had any luck with claiming missing points? I still have a few outstanding from December.

    LAX Departure Passport Control

Thanks for the replies everyone, Yes I've been reading that LAX now have electronic boarding - which is really just verifying a photo I think, but who knows what all Uncle Sam is collecting. I'm thinking the whole warning about not being able to leave is single passport holders, obviously you...

    LAX Departure Passport Control

Hi All quick question for anyone who has gone in and out of LAX recently. I am a dual national AUS/US, I have to dash back to the states quickly this weekend in and out of LAX for a family emergency. When I go to check my passport, my US Passport is expired (only recently - just my luck). I've...

Singapore Air backing out of refunds?

I realised to through add another layer of complexity, I’ve since received a new card to that of the one the original purchase was made. Hopefully the bank can link this somehow?

Singapore Air backing out of refunds?

It’s good to see they’re up to Mid April at least. Weird thing was when my flights were first cancelled they immediately refunded my seat selection fees.

Singapore Air backing out of refunds?

It’s coming up 8 weeks since my flight was cancelled and I requested a refund. I now should be midway through my trip. I’m hesitant to chargeback as I don’t want to somehow be blacklisted from the airline.

Singapore Air backing out of refunds?

My original cancellation email explicitly states refund. And when I used the online form I ticked the refund box. I’m just trying to not have to call them.

Singapore Air backing out of refunds?

I received the below from SQ today as I immediately requested a refund through the online form when they first cancelled. Does this mean they’re no longer offering refunds? Who knows when they’ll want to travel again and I definitely don’t want to have to pay any fare difference.

    Tight Connection in SFO

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm tossing up the decision of formally changing our flights, or risking it and changing when we arrive if need be. Problem is now, prices for those flights have gone up a considerable amount, across all carriers, really only 3 that do the route, Alaskan...

    Tight Connection in SFO

Hello knowledgeable travellers, I have a question, or rather need reassure/ideas for backup/etc.. We're flying QF73 into SFO, set to land at 9:35am. We then have a Virgin America flight to Seattle at 11:05am. Leaving a 90 minute connection window. My contingency plan included buying F...

Hey all, got a voucher from work, PVW23, for Virgin which grants 10% all flights until Dec 31 2015. Priced out some various flights and cheapest was SYD to LAX $917 AUD, and $1183 to JFK. Various times, August, November, May. Cheapest flights I've ever seen to LAX.

Qantas vs Virgin Australia flight experience (worth the $$$?)

You Qantas guys are nuts! I used to be a big Qantas only person when it came to LAX/SYD flights. Ever since Virgin came to the scene it's changed for me. Everytime I fly Virgin across the Pacific I always feel like a person no matter how full the flight is. Everytime I go Qantas I just feel...

"Flight schedule change" - an extra 6.5 hours in LAX!

They will not charge you anything to change your flight. Trust me. Once they alter the flight it's up to them to accommodate you. Maybe take a night LA, change the flights to the next morning? I once had an Alaska flight change by 30 minutes on me. I let it slide at the time, then decided the...

    Long layover in Los Angles

Manhattan/Hermosa beaches are a short, 15 min car ride from the airport. You could ditch your bags and spend a couple hours at the beach, shopping, stopping in for food and a few beers before heading back to the airport.

Changing a discount economy ticket on a mixed-class flight

I think it depends on who you get at the desk, luck of the draw. If you call beforehand and try to change they will most likely charge you. If you're there, and there's room on an earlier flight and the person is feeling nice, they can move you forward. There's also many other factors as in...

Linking tickets to save on baggage fares - USA

I guess I can always book it, then call customer service and plead my case. Worst that will happen is I'll have to pay. Luckily tickets on all airlines this far out are pretty even with Delta being the less awful airline of the bunch.
