Perth - Any Change To Non-QF Int To QF Dom Transfers?

IIRC last time I flew a non-oneworld airline into Perth T1 with an onward QF domestic flight from T4 (so separate tickets) there was a special QF domestic check in desk in the T1 checki n area that you could use to check in for your QF domestic flight and which would transfer your luggage for...

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Last week I noticed that I had not been given points for ATO tax spend I did in early June on my Macquarie Black CC. I rang up Macquarie and they told me that ATO spend did not earn points after 11 May. Going back and reading the email in April from Macquarie notifying me of the changes I...

Macquarie cutting QFF earn rate on Black card from 20 June 2016

I noticed that the terms and conditions listed on the website have recently changed. At: Black Qantas Credit Card | Earn Qantas Points | Macquarie footnote 1 now links to a new version which instead of saying you earn 1 QFF point per dollar on eligible purchases, uncapped, now says: 1 Qantas...

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Calling a bank to ask about ATO spend earning points is always a mistake. You can easily test whether you get points by making a small test payment to the ATO. Ringing up the bank just puts them on alert.

CBA now include free international travel insurance without conditions

I took advantage of this new more generous coverage and arranged online via netbank to be covered for our next short overseas trip to Singapore. This seems to be a rare case of a credit card enhancement actually being an enhancement.

Reduction in Transfer Rates for Citibusiness Gold

Today I got an email from a research company engaged by Citibank who asked me to fill in a short questionnaire explaining why I had closed my Citibusiness card. Needless to say I was not shy when it came to putting all the blame on their destruction of the reward program.

Reduction in Transfer Rates for Citibusiness Gold

Today I bid adieu to my dear old CBG card. Cancelling was relatively painless as they only made a half-hearted effort to keep me once I told them the reason was the downgrade in the rewards scheme. They offered to waive the annual fee but I said no thanks.

Thinking about using a QF classic award to book us in JQ business for a domestic flight. Flight leaves from T2 (international) at MEL. Do we get access to the QF international business lounge? Or to put it another way: is a QF classic award used for JQ business class considered to be the same...

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

I've never had anything to do with BW and this seems to be an invitation only card. Has anyone had any luck getting it just cold-calling them and then providing impressive financials?

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

I note the Commbank Platinum Business Awards cards (you get a paired Amex and a Mastercard) will continue to earn QF FFPs for ATO spend even after the change to the conditions introduced last November. The terms and conditions specifically confirm this. If you opt to have your points converted...

Reduction in Transfer Rates for Citibusiness Gold

Re: Citibusiness Gold: significant downgrades from 18 March 2016 announced CBA Diamond MCard is $1 = 0.625 QFF. I believe the Citi Prestige card is $1 =1 QFF but that comes with a $700 annual fee.

Reduction in Transfer Rates for Citibusiness Gold

Re: Citibusiness Gold: significant downgrades from 18 March 2016 announced As I read it: 1. the earn rate is staying at $1 = 1.25 Citi rewards points 2. the downgrades to the redemption rates apply to all redemptions from 18 March So provided you transfer prior to 18 March you should be...

Reduction in Transfer Rates for Citibusiness Gold

Re: Citibusiness Gold: significant downgrades from 18 March 2016 announced Yes I was fond of my plucky little Citibusiness Card. I'll probably cancel it after 18 March as it will be no better than my CBA Diamond MCard for earning QFF points and its not worth the hassle or the annual fee to...
