It's not just VA now that are doing virtual passes linked to your FF account. I received notification from QF that they are changing to virtual passes, but they can be forwarded to someone else (providing they have a FF account, and you have to notify the actual flight).

Quite happy with OZ. Last year flew them CDG to ICN, and prior to that a few times between MNL-ICN and ICN-LAX (all in Y). Clean cabins, good food and service and generally comfortable flights. Happy to recommend them.

Checked my Amex account (which I used to pay the Lounge Access) and it was showing a credit from Virgin for $250 the day after Explorer Gold, so I'm guessing that is it.

If you have paid for Economy X then the cost also includes priority boarding. The storage bins above also have prominent "Economy X" stickers on them, which is meant to deter the common folk from putting their bags there. The FA's are also meant to police it.
