Has anybody had this issue recently. I generally don't have issues with the VA website however this has popped up the last few days and not sure why. I have cleared cache etc... and tried 'Edge' as well as 'Chrome' (Windows) and without success. It happens after I have selected the destination...

No announcement except that coffee and tea would not be served in the main cabin. There was no reason given. The couple in 1A and 1C seemed a bit perplexed after a conversation with the FA at the beginning. I didn't hear the conversation however she seemed to over service them during the flight...

A little bit. They didn't serve hot beverages in the main cabin however a few in J had coffee and tea. It was only bumpy through the clouds.

I flew SYD-OOL last night in J and we were not offered any meal. Don't know why and it didn't bother me. I had eaten in the lounge. Nobody else seemed worried about it as well. (7/8 in J)

As we had too many for our car my wife elected to go via public transport and caught the 777 bus from OOL and then transfered to the tram to North Surfers Paradise (we were only going as far as the JW Marriott in Surfers) It worked well and she got to the Marriott in less than 1 hour.

....and not a good time to hit the highway between Coolangatta and Brisbane. We drove up around that time on Sunday and it was choc-o-block between Tugan and Mudgeeraba. (although I am guessing a lot of them were coming back from the weekend)

Same thing happend to me at Melbourne the other day. The previous flight was still unloading. We only had to wait about 20 minutes.

As long as they are on the same PNR it shouldn't be a problem. A few years back my daughter was travelling with her friend and they wouldn't let the friend line up in Priority checkin because the friend was not on the same PNR. SIA I think. (I think my daughter was Platinum back then)

Interesting.... perhaps the call centre was busy and you got automatically rerouted to the overseas call centre. That happended to me once many years ago however they were able to sort me out so it wasn't an issue. Perhaps wait an hour or so and call back again.

.....as for your Virgin Amex card it will only get you into 2 x visits into Australian Amex lounges. It won't get you into any other Amex lounges around the world. For that you will need a regular Amex Platinum card or higher..... (check out this link) Airport Lounge Access | American Express...

Yes, we booked 2 x J SYD - LHR (Sept.) and MXP - SYD (Nov.) On Etihad. However we booked them back in November 2021 so I guess that doesn't help you.
