EY probably better value as Emirates J on the 777 is terrible

I was looking to LHR in October and found J for about $4.3k and F for $8.2k. I guess elsewhere in Europe outside of the UK would be cheaper again.

I am no expert, but the challenge is the ex Australia piece, the fares are extortionate. Look at fares ex SIN/BKK/CGK etc and the use miles or a cheap Y ticket to get to those places. Plenty of cheap fares out of CGK but from what I understand you can't transit at CGK for example.
