    Book the Cook- Recommendations

On my last SQ218 F, I BTC'd Lobster for my partner and me. That flight, lobster was not available, we got an profuse apologies from ground staff and FAs. Best of all, we got SGD$200 vouchers for NOT HAVING BTC Lobster. So, from now on, I always BTC Lobster and would recommend it out of...

    Freedom of speech

To be honest, it is extremely hard to filter and monitor people's thoughts and views. I will leave that to Chinese Big Brother Network. Since Rugby is never my favorite, boycotting Rubgy (and not watching it on TV) is an extremely easy choice for me. Not flying on QF, Royal Brunei, and...

    Freedom of speech

Australian Bureau of Statistics - 3303.0 - Causes of Death, Australia, 2017 I briefly went through the raw statistic numbers and I can't conclusively agreeing to the statement. However, I do agree with you that some (as reported in various news media) did commit suicide due to bullying and...

    Freedom of speech

What I am scared of is that we are moving to an extreme where everything can be perceived as an offence/insult or vilification. Are we going to ban Bible (Old Testament) and Quran because both books contained similar passages to support Falou's POV? Will Australia go through Cultural...

    Freedom of speech

Voltaire (French Writer, 1700s) - "I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it. " I personally do not like what Anning, Falou and some Greens' Senators (such as Sarah Hanson-Young's anti-Jewish stance) comments and social media announcements. However, I will...

    Freedom of speech

After reading various comments about who goes to hell. Personally, I think Hell is a great holiday destination. Think about it, weather forecast in Hell is warm to hot everyday and night. Hell is full of sexy sinners who are totally into having good times! It will be like holiday in...

Royal Brunei Airlines and LGBTI travellers

Not really, if anyone in the media dared to mention such thing, that person would be called nasty names like Anning. And if you even dare to quote passage of Qu'ran as evidence, Australian HR Commissioner will be charging you for Hate Crime - see...

Royal Brunei Airlines and LGBTI travellers

You are correct. Brunei's Syariah Penal Code applies to ALL including non-Muslims. Also, if an openly Homosexual Person visit Brunei, he/she can be accused of Homosexual Attempt (no need for actual sexual act) with few witnesses and evidences and then jailed (or worse executed). Evidence can...

Royal Brunei Airlines and LGBTI travellers

Exactly. It is great to see UN HR Council members such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq... just to name a few of the 18 members honour, respect, embrace and enforce UN HR Charter.

Royal Brunei Airlines and LGBTI travellers

Careful, you could be accused of Racist, Islamophobic, Homophobic and all the nasty names from the fun police or politically correct class. Can't be too careful these days :( I should also point out that in Singaporean Criminal Law Section 377A still makes Same Sex activities illegal and still...

Revoking Privileges from those Voicing Opinions Contrary to Yours

http://www.agc.gov.bn/AGC%20Images/LAWS/Gazette_PDF/2013/EN/syariah%20penal%20code%20order2013.pdf Under Zina Liwat, it does appear to apply to Any One - Page 1709. Also (not a legal expert here), you can just get accused of Liwat and the conviction would stand. For example, an openly gay...

Revoking Privileges from those Voicing Opinions Contrary to Yours

I read that, I thought about Royal Brunei. Would an openly gay person be executed in Brunei if he/she just simply board Royal Brunei in Australia and transit?

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Yes, we do prefer 1A & 1F for 77W, if it is the 8 F version of 77W, we would have ask for 1A, 2A or 1F, 2F. I tried to change seats in SQ website, all 4 seats are taken. To make matters worse, subsequent SQ228 is full and I can see that SQ227 still empty. I might ask to get changed to...

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Question: I booked SQ218 and SQ217 in October 2018 for travelling August 2019. The ticket is paid one not using any KF points. When I booked SQ218/217, they were A380 with Suites in seat 3A & 3F (travelling +1). Now, SQ changed A380 to 77W, and placed me and +1 to 1A and 1D. Currently 77W F...

    KrisFlyer points redemption/ cash upgrade?

You can book over the phone with SQ KrisFlyer call centre to book the mixed F+J cabins. I did it for one of my BKK trip using F on SQ218/SQ217 and J on SQ972/977. Hardly any waiting time on SQ's call centre. Good luck.

Why I am ditching QF F/J longhaul, despite loving it.

I used to fly QF a lot in my younger days, and loved QF. That was because my company was paying my fare and I had access to Qantas Club and regularly get to fly J. Now, I don't fly as much and usually only max 3 times a year for personal holiday. My last QF flight was MEL-PER using QF9/10...

    Status Credit on EK flights?

By rebooking EK409/06 to QF number, the ticket price will go up from 12K to 17K!! By booking QF8161/QF8162 to EK161/162, the ticket price is 15K. The whole codeshare thing arrangement EK/QF felt like bickering lovers for trying to collect status and points.

Question re Emirates first class lounge Dubai

Don't think so. I will be arriving on EK162 and using EK406 rather than EK404 or EK408. It would appear Dubai Connect is for connections greater than 9 hours if there are no other immediate flights/seats available. Thanks!! I am looking forward to your on-the-ground report on this. It is...
