    Delta SkyMiles Status Match Discussion

Thanks for your prompt response. As far as timing goes, there will be 16 days between earning Velocity Gold and flying China Airlines, so that is doable. will just have to work out the rest. On a different note, who else apart from Delta is a good Skyteam membership to hold in Australia, we...

    Australian state border restrictions

If the flight was operating and I cancelled I fully accept their right to charge me the cancellation fee as per the fare conditions. I booked and paid for that Garuda fair in November 2019 for carriage in May of 2020. That is why I believe the airline should refund the entire amount. I am...

    Australian state border restrictions

A small fee as you call it is 50% of the booking for the accomodation. Covid is not my fault, nor is it the fault of the service providers. Some integrity is necessary

    Australian state border restrictions

While i understand keeping your residents safe, this is so frustrating. We had a months holiday booked for Bali in May. We rebooked for November, thats not happening either. So we booked and paid for 2 lots of accomodation in Queensland, we were going to do a road trip from Sydney and look at...

Is it Time to transfer/withdraw points from Velocity?

pretty sure that velocity points need some activity every 18 months, so once a year go via the Velocity shopping portal and purchase something, it could be menulog, or a flower delivery, the 50 points or so will keep your account alive.

Is it Time to transfer/withdraw points from Velocity?

SQ points do expire so you have to be super vigilant about them. For the information of other members, these are the steps I have taken. Moved my Westpac Velocity card point earn to Altitude rewards - which can then be transfered to SQ. Any points I acquire on the ANZ Black can be directed to...

Is it Time to transfer/withdraw points from Velocity?

My gut feeling is to move everything to SQ, but those Velocity points i hold cannot go anywhere at the moment. I have moved my Visa and MasterCard spend to where I can send to SQ (westpac and ANZ), now i just need to work out what to do with my Velocity Amex. Will try and see if Amex will...

Is it Time to transfer/withdraw points from Velocity?

Yes very much so. We are at the mercy of whoever is running the program. On paper you would not take the gamble but in real life we do. the lure of those free long haul flights in business is just too good.

Is it Time to transfer/withdraw points from Velocity?

I felt quite comfortable holding and adding to my Velocity points until yesterdays announcements. I have just under 300K points with velocity, and about the same with SQ. I am torn between supporting Velocity and Virgin moving forward and just moving away. We do not do much domestic travel...

Skyteam - which is best airline for points program?

Well the points expire in Jan 2020 - i have discovered this from the very clunky klm flying blue website "All your Miles are valid for life as long as you take an eligible flight on Air France, KLM, Aircalin, Kenya Airways, TAROM or other airline partners at least once every 2 years, or if...

Skyteam - which is best airline for points program?

Hi Brains Trust Just wrestling with a dilema We have just purchased Garuda Business Flights to Bali for May 2020. The question is which airline is best to credit the points? Previously we have flown Garuda a lot and accumulated great points and used them. Since then we flew Virgin (which...
