Re: Sucessful ASA Bookings booked at classic rates Reference Guide Certainly not. They are bookable until the end of June (don't remember exact date). I booked one 10 days ago.., it took 20-30 minutes on phone and numerous referrals back to a Supervisor.

"Crisis" averted ;-) A 1 minute call to the QFF Contact Centre and flight adjusted to credit as ASA... Status credits posted in time to retain my "last" mASA acquired level.

I personally would book this over anything with stops...once on board you simply mentally get in the zone and get on with watching coughpy Hollywood movies for... A whole day!

Re: General Qantas Delays/Cancellations/etc. Discussion I don't know what the actual regulations are. But on a SYD - LAX flight with QF a few years ago, 5 hours in the water failed. We diverted to HNL landing at a deserted terminal at 1 or 2 am. The captain made numerous announcements...

I've stayed in most of the hotels there... The best by far is the City Golf Motel http://www.citygolfmotel.com.au/ It had a complete refurb about 2-3 years ago and it's a good property... They run a free shuttle to the Golf Club for dinner

On a couple of occasions I've had a MSN to ORD flight with AA that has been severely delayed (4-5 hours in a very small region airports in the USA winter) when checking in... So have advised the checkin agent that I will make my own way to ORD via road (which is about 2 hours) and had no issues...

In 100% agreement. The way in which a company treats you as an employee are certainly part of the entire job offer. But still believe that lounge access and decent travel policies are conditions of employment not personal remuneration. Sent from AFF Mobile Edition

Agreed. Your company should pay for lounge access and try to make it as easy as possible when you travel. But the $400-500 per annum of lounge access is hardly compensation. For most frequent business travellers that amount is less than a day's pay or for some a dinner out. The lounge...
