    New Amex statement credits

I bought an iPhone SE for $399 + postage. Got the statement credit the next day. The terms and conditions are not enforceable on Amex's side, but I agree with lovetravellingoz - there's no point getting butthurt about Harveys explicitly enforcing a ban on gift card purchases using the deal.

Westpac reduces points on credit card spend

The only reason why I'm gonna keep mine now is for the free lounge pass, and because I get it "free" as part of a home loan package (the annual fee is pretty much the home loan package fee). But as soon as my fixed term expire I'll probably refinance and ditch this card. Was good while it...

From their website: https://www.accorgiftcards.com.au/frequently-asked-questions The bit that I bolded seems to be the kicker.

    New Amex statement credits

OK now that the whole HN Vpay deal is largely behind us, back to other offers! My question is: how many of the hotel restaurants have been validated to work for the various cashback offers (Hilton, Langham, Accor, Marriot, etc.) without being part of an associated stay? A friend has confirmed...

28° Mastercard Cash Advances while overseas [No more free cash advances from 1/1/14]

Re: 28° Mastercard Cash Advances while overseas [No more free cash advances from 1/1/ It sounds like a payment of US$20 (because I have a charge of that much for my Google Drive storage). But otherwise, no, I don't have any mysterious payments on my account.

    Gift Cards at Supermarkets

Do you mean when buying them or redeeming them? When buying, yes there's a 10 card limit. If you mean redeeming, then you may just have been (un)lucky. I paid for a Surface Pro 3 ($1600+) using only $50 gift cards. They only needed me to show ID using more than 5 GC... my receipt was 2 metres long!

    Gift Cards at Supermarkets

You can buy these using Wish gift cards purchased through EB (or other sources) at 5% off - still earning 3ppd with Plat Edge, so effectively 15% off.

    Buying Gift Cards at WOW

Hehe... good one. I did something similar last year when I bought my Surface. Wrote about it here: cyberseraphic » Beneath the Surface The JB receipt was about 2 meters long!

    New Altitude Black has landed...

Nope, no way around it. I've even tried with two separate PP memberships (one from Altitude Black, the other from Citibank Signature), and because it's only my name on the account they wouldn't allow her to use it (means I have to use all 4 visits myself, and she always has to pay the US$27).

    Switch primary cardholder?

I have complimentary Altitude Black from a loan I have with Westpac. The loan is in joint names but obviously the credit card has to have a primary cardholder, which is currently me. I'd like to switch this to my wife (pretty much just so I can get the complimentary Priority Pass in her name...

    SPG gold perk renewal?

My bad. Turns out I didn't read the bit that says you have to stay one night. So the qualification is sitting dormant in my account until I notch up a stay.

    SPG gold perk renewal?

When I originally signed up for the Altitude Black I received the SPG Gold privilege which I foolishly activated straight away. However, it's been over a year now and it's since lapsed. Does anybody know if this is an ongoing thing or just a once off? I rang on SPG to get my account...

Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

Yeah, they probably also stopped being part of Everyday Rewards and paying QFF points around the same time too?

Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

It's not just Woolworths Rewards. They're really making a lot of drastic changes... e.g. the Woolworths Group branded gift cards can no longer be used across all Woolies Group members. The recent Big W promo exposed that when a bunch of OzBargainers who thought they could just buy them to use to...
