Baggage handling at JFK in transit Toronto-JFK-Vancouver

I have a Finnair round the world ticket. One sector involves travel from JFK to YVV on CX metal. I will be visiting Niagara (from Toronto) whilst in New York and flying AA4367 from Pearson International in Toronto to JFK. I have a 2 hour transit before picking up the CX889 flightnto Vancouver...

Qantas online chat - customer service live

I've tried it but was given completely incorrect advice about lounge access. I even kept the chat printout but was told by a phone staffer the chat agent was incorrect.

Life Time Gold - The [Realistic] Holy Grail

Yes the LTG recognition is rather underwhelming and not just the welcome ketterveithet. . QF make no distinction between LTG and SG so on board as far as I can tell you are the same as SG. Nothing extra in your boarding pass to indicate lifetime and I assume nothing in the Pax list either...

Jetstar NZ now with min 400 QFF points

Actually, the entry for Christchurch specifically states the Jetstar flight must be international only (see below) whereas the entry for Wellington does not mention this. Christchurch is a affiliated lounge though. Gold Frequent FlyerNext onward flight that day must be on a Qantas^, Emirates^...

Jetstar NZ now with min 400 QFF points

That is the bit that worries me. Im unfamiliar with the airport but the map seems to show the domestic and international gates in the same wing. Does anyone know if they are physically separated?

Jetstar NZ now with min 400 QFF points

Strange. I finally had an online chat with a Qantas person and they said I could use the Wellington International Business lounge. The Qantas website seems to say the same thing if you know where to look. I am on a JQ flight number so should be fine. This from the Wellington lounge Gold...

Jetstar NZ now with min 400 QFF points

I have a booking in starter plus with Jetstar from Wellington to Christchurch next March. I have searched both these forums and the QF/JQ websites and I cant see a definitive answer whether a Qantas Gold FF has any lounge access in Wellington. I am aware that I will earn FF points and Qantas...

Life Time Gold - The [Realistic] Holy Grail

Yep. Very scary. Its happening to me in 2 weeks. Didn't re-qualify this year due to the bad strategic decision to fly on holidays using points. Im guessing my shiny new LTG card is nearly on its way. I'll should get back to WP with projected retirement flights at the end of next year though...

    Qantas treats Perth like dirt

Perhaps you missed my point. If I want to fly Qantas to South Africa from Perth (this is a QF forum) then I first have to backtrack to SYD or MEL. I was merely asking how a MEL or SYD resident would feel if Qantas did not fly direct to NZ our SA for example, but made you backtrack and fly to...

    Qantas treats Perth like dirt

I don't believe that is the OP's suggestion. But tell me, those of you from SYD or MEL, how you would feel about having to fly via PER to go to NZ, South America etc?

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

Guess I've just been unlucky then as my last 4 flights from PER to MEL/SYD have had the aircraft changed in the last couple of days from a refurb to the old 2-3-2. The return flights have all been refurbs though. I specifically checked expert flyer to get the refurbed bird but missed out each...

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

What annoys me the most is choosing a specific flight on a particular day that has the new layout only to find it has been "downgraded" to the old style recliners a couple of weeks out. This is domestic I am talking about. It has happened the last few flights I have taken. The worst thing is...

Qantas cuts flights from Perth to Melbourne, decreases capacity to Sydney

Well by that logic they will put the old aircraft with 36 J seats on the east coast routes (36 is better than 28 or 12 isn't it?)

Qantas cuts flights from Perth to Melbourne, decreases capacity to Sydney

All of the recent flights transcon I have taken were full. Try and get an upgrade in the new J cabin - almost impossible. That is my experience.

Qantas cuts flights from Perth to Melbourne, decreases capacity to Sydney

So a lie flat J cabin is deemed more suitable for a short flight on the east coast than a 5 hour transcontinental flight. Strange logic!
