Reward flights not on QFF site

Quick question. If I can see flights on the AA site which are available using AA rewards points, but they are not appearing on the QFF site, is it possible to book them through the call centre? (QFF do not display flights from Uruguay)

"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

I've never paid the phone booking fee BUT the airport I want to fly through (Montevideo in Uruguay) cannot be booked online through the Qantas website hence they waive the fee. If it is a straightforward booking, you should be able to do it online

Have you had to change/cancel travel due to COVID-19 (involuntarily or voluntarily)?

Had to change flights for my mother in law which was SIN - HKG - MIL on Cathay Pacific using QF award points. When I did get through, the QF call centre was unaware that all flights from HKG to Italy had been banned. Initially didn't want to do it as the RTW had started. Eventually managed to...

Delta buys 20% of LATAM, which will exit oneworld

Just saw this in my inbox and had to take a deep breath. Many of my extended family here have family in South America and the ability to use rewards/RTW trips with QFF points has been great to get them over here. Now it looks like we will have to pay a staging flight to SCL and then connect to a...

"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

Cannot do it online as flights leaving from MVD do not appear in the search engine. Five years ago the telephone consultant was great and it was booked and paid for inside 20 mins. Two years it took nearly 2 hours as the consultant was unable to find lots of flights despite them being on the...

"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

Just trying to clarify again, is it possible to book a combination of premium economy and economy tickets together? I was told that all the tickets had to be all premium economy or all economy, you couldn't mix them together even if you were willing to pay the higher points.

Not sure what you mean by HUACA. Cannot do the multi city booking online. The first leg is flying out of Montevideo (MVD) and the Qantas website cannot still do bookings including this despite letting them know this over 5 years ago. Have no choice but to use the call centre. Have had great...

"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

Looking for some advice. Tried to book a series of flights but was told that as some were premium economy (only availablity for those flights) and some were economy (again only availability) that I wasn't able to book the flights. Didn't mind paying the extra points for all the flights even...

Quick question about the Qantas website vs awardnexus. I'm trying to find a flight from KUL to Athens around the 8th Feb. The Qantas website says nothing available however when I go to awardnexus, it comes up with a Royal Jordanian flight available. I believe that RJ flights are eligible but if...

Quick question about whether backtracking is allowed on this award. Looking at bringing the Mother in Law out from overseas with the flights being something like MVD-MAD-KUL-SYD-HKT-SYD-MVD. I know on a normal RTW that I can't do the SYD-HKT-SYD but can you on this award?

Better option of cash withdrawals o/s - advice?

Ok. If I understand it right, get a citi debit plus and transfer money to it before I leave (or as I go via Internet banking) then when I'm overseas, I can go to an ATM and withdraw my cash and I won't be charged any fees apart from any fees the foreign ATM charges. Then just keep using the...

    Checked Baggage - 2 different airlines/tickets/bookings

Hi All. Father in law booked a flight to South America flying the first leg with LAN Chile from Sydeny to Santiago. He then on a seperate booking with Pluna booked from Santiago to Montevideo as it was a lot cheaper this way. The stopover in the airport is only 3 hours so he obviously doesn't...
