I tried BA today both as a guest and signed in but could not get a result. The site was slow so that could have been a temporary problem. All seats now booked.

Worldwide phone numbers Confusion reigns on AAseat booking on a QF award. If all else fails find the Australian phone number (24h) on the above link (02 9101 1948) and AA will convert the QF record locator to the one for AA. You can then select seats on the AA website.

If you are limited to those dates and have the points you can try MEL-PVG-LHR as a mixture of J/F for 192000 points. It could be interesting: Review – China Eastern 777 First Class Shanghai – New York

You should be able to book MEL-PVG-LHR online (eg April 2 and 3) for 139,000 points and $255 in J. There is good availability throughout April but the flights are operated by China Eastern Airlines (MU). The last J on EK looks like March 25/26 via DXB but that may be too early for you.
