    I'm thinking this is going to cause a bit of hassle for the staff at the airports, don't really like this change. Hopefully there will be more policing of carry-on baggage then!

    Staff travellers have a pretty strict dress code, and this just seems like a 'star' knowingly breaching these rules.

    I can appreciate that they did offer something there, but by QF and JQ standards that is pretty poor to not to offer a refund. But i guess it is a good marketing tool so they can have some of those disrupted pax travel with DJ again and keep them as 'guests' of the airline.

    If this was the case JQ will not be happy with what has happened. I'm also positive that JQ would not be happy with a ground handler (not JQ) making these comments in an online forum.
