Sorry to bump an old thread but I wanted to thank you for a great TR! I'm flying Garuda to DPS in a couple of days, apparently on the new A333 business class. I will report back if it's much different :)

The normal stuff you buy from the fridge at BWS tastes like horse piss, though I might keep an eye out for the award winning drop :)

I use everything at my disposal to make sure I'm in the loop re: boarding. I tend to use the FIDS as my main preference, though I have started to use Google (recently in BKK it was Google that told me that the flight was delayed, not the FIDS).

Have 2 x A380 flights on EY coming up in late July/August. Looking forward to trying the Business Studio - shame the budget didn't stretch for the apartments but i'm sure we will cope!

We were there a few years ago so my info might be out of date, but there was a VA lounge in the upstairs area of the lounge - it was very basic from memory. Try to get a late check out or get the hotel to hold your luggage and go exploring on a buggy.

Bratislava, Slovakia. Been there a couple of times for a drive stopover between Budapest and Vienna. Small city with 80's communism style apartment blocks everywhere. Felt unsafe there a couple of times.

Is FSX still around? I'm surprised they haven't released a newer version... though FSX was always quite impressive and probably still is today...

I have a decent airline blanket collection at home - good for guests coming over if it's a bit chilly on the rooftop.

I wonder if it changes status to 'Unsettled' and later on, 'Manic Rush' - the closer you get to boarding? :p

Yes.... in which case the bulkhead is certainly illadvised (I however felt the need to have 1A to satisfy my ego)

I'm a big fan of row 2... the bulkhead is terrible - one is sometimes tempted to be a grot and put their feet up on the wall... *cough cough*
