Actually had another result today, managed to get a Business seat on Sing A380 to London in June with Krisflier and a return leg first class with BA using Qantas miles to HK - but damn economy from HK to Sydney! all with no status!

Hi all, I've just flown back and forth from Sydney/Heathrow and for once went via HK - to find that there is no duty free (for alcohol) availability due to "Australian Government regulations" - whereas in Singapore it's well organised and easy to do. any ideas why this is?
