Just went to UK, France and USA, Citi works perfectly without ATM fees in the UK and the USA (Citi ATMs were kind of everywhere). In France everywhere is cashless, so no need to take cash out at all, even Metro counters take credit cards only.

We are just back from New Caledonia and stayed at the Double Tree Hilton resort and Noumea town centre - happy to report that we did not take any XPF cash and have no such need anyway!

Same here, I suspect this issue might happen if your network is not an individual network - like from a corporate one. So far I have heard that the free tickets are for shoulder / low season anyway - well I still have options.

QF HK lounge will win in human interactions. CX F will win in the food, Cabana (if you can get it), and foot massage (when it opens eventually). Also, the food offered in the QF lounge is something that you can easily get in HK, like Dim Sims and BBQ pork rice. But I cannot find Cathay delight...

Thanks for the tip. We are only staying at the overwater bungalow 95% of the time, the bus is already booked to/ from the airport to the port. Have a few hours in the town and see if we can visit the markets!
