If I understand the first option was to extend your Qantas club membership once you loss status. This would be pointless for me as I am lifetime gold so I would never benefit from it. Even gifting won’t be ideal for everyone as they may not have anyone who would use it so again no benefit.

It seems Qantas has let their agreement lapse at POM for access to the Paradise lounge. I was informed at the lounge today.

I flew VA0776 on Sunday CSN-BNE and booked late so got 2D. Breakfast just got served front to back and left to right so when it got to me the option I could eat was gone. Was offered pretzels but just had black coffee. Saw most of the the boarding passes of the other passengers and their phone...

I assume you earn SC with Alaska as the page on the QANTAS website for Alaska says you do but the QANTAS Partner Earn catagory page says "Qantas Points are earned on all eligible booking classes, except Alaska Airlines codeshare flights operated by an airline other than Qantas or a oneworld...

To be honest on QANTAS the WiFi was always fast enough to stream so I usually choose that over shows offered anyway.

I got my Platinum card for 31st May and I had qualified 6 months early with enough SCs and flights. I got the same wording saying "you may not qualify", seems like the letter is automatic with no checking.
