    LAX Transit question

We arrived at 10:30 am and got through everything in 45 minutes. Our friends arrive at 6:30 am, so it might be tighter for them. Will be interesting to see how they go. Was wondering if the process was still the same, ie, need to go via TSA, customs etc or can just be "in transit" to skip it all.

    LAX Transit question

Hi all, Been 12 months since my last LAX experience, which, BTW - was good. Friends of ours booked a Delta flight (VA metal) to LAX, then an Air Canada flight onto Toronto. Arrival at LAX is 06:30, with the Toronto flight at 08:30. I thought this was way too tight, since we had to exit via...

    Transit times etc LAX

Here is a review of my experience this week. VA1 arrived a bit early, even though in the rear cabin, we made quick progress to Immigration. Got directed to a line with about 10 people in front, went really quick, even after having a chat with the officer :) As we made our way to the baggage...

    Transit times etc LAX

Found out from my TA that we have the Flexi fare booked, and she also spoke highly of how a great airline AC is and she never had any bad experiences with them. So if worst comes to worst, should be able to rebook once on the ground if a problem arises. Will leave it as is, as the departure time...

    Transit times etc LAX

I did just see that looking at the AC web site, and thought about that as a possibility if it all goes you know what. I will check with the TA what fare was booked. Just so I am clear, When you mention 3 hours, do mean between arrival/departure times or arrival / bag check in time? thanks so far :)

    Transit times etc LAX

Thanks for the responses, Flying with VA, in economy. The craziest thing is the wild variations and experiences people have. I am tossing up whether to pay the change fee and leave on a later flight, or possible leave on an earlier flight outbound from AU, just to make sure. Nothing worse when...

    Transit times etc LAX

Hi all, We are going across to LAX from SYD in July, with a scheduled arrival of 10:25 on a Monday into TBIT. We are then scheduled to depart via Air Canada at 1:25pm to Toronto from T2. They are booked on separate tickets. I am getting a bit nervous with the time allowance, as I believe we...

Sydney - New York - Washington - DisneyWorld - Niagara Falls - what order?

Thanks all for the tips. Got me thinking as to whether or not the extra expense to disney World is all that worth it now. (Was planning for about 7 days, 4 days for DisneyWorld, then some other days for a day trip to Miami, perhaps Kennedy as well for a day. Since I plan on going over to the...

Is MNL Airport really as bad as it is reported in the media?

Funny reading this thread, as I recall about 13 years back one of the guys (a strapping lad) refused all trips that required any domestic travel that required tranist via Manila! He would tranist via Singapore or even HK or wherever directly to his destination whenever he could. We ended up...

    Qf 380 syd-lax

Hi all, Going to the US in April, and was wondering if QF flies the same set of planes across the Pacific, or do they cycle them? I go past the SYD jetbase a few times a week, and often see the 380's sitting on the apron at the jetbase. At one point counted 3 at the same time. I have been able...

Thank you all for the great information. I really do appreciate it all. As we have only a few day, given our whirlwind tour, we have decided to go from LAX (7 April) straight to Anaheim, then we will transfer on the Sunday up to LA. That will give us the Thursday arvo (depending on how well we...
