I recently flew BKK-SIN-SYD using CX BKK-SIN then QF2 all in premium Y. I was surprised CX wouldn't give me a fast track pass through BKK immigration when checking in - I thought either premium Y or OWE would make me eligible but they insisted it was for J PAX only...were they right? Seats AB/JK are bassinet seats hence closer to the bulkhead/bassinet. Sat in 31K it was fine. The others seats behind are just no good if someone reclines into you...if they stay upright it is bearable

Row 31 has much better legroom than the other so-called PE seats behind it...while A/K seats have storage bins;

I've always had good op ups from CX as a OWE....the best was from J to F on a points redemption flight HKG-JFK last year. My main route of HKG<>MNL is 75% successful of upgrade at the gate as these flights are generally full and they cannot get enough Y seats...the sweet spot being premium Y...

My partner and I upgraded from flex Y to J on QF20 a full 7 days before my flight - as P1 that has never happened to me so far out. All my upgrade requests that have been successful have been T-24hrs so much so that I thought this was P1 standard regardless of the published benefit.

I never had an issue with 767s...great domestic flights on them however one time SYD-HNL was a bit tough in Y.

Pay market rate for our 17yo plane...no thanks. I have been on several of these recently (QF27-QF28) and many seats are failing, IFE failing, AC not working etc. I love the 747 but these birds are long past their use-by date.

When these configs are changed to refurb it seems QF are not actually selling these extra seats in Y+ and J...so many of these flights are flying less than full over peak season

Never imagined Metro Mania would have better air quality than my home town of Sydney...taken from the lounge on lvl 57 Grand Hyatt

Feedback on seating? What class did you fly? Any comparison between the non-refurb 380s? The time remaining feature also hasn't worked on my last two QFi flights (747 and 330) wonder what the go is?
