Got a response to my email - no to having it applied in my next membership year, and no exceptions. However, I suspect they interpreted my email as asking for platinum status, so I'll still give them a call in November.

I only have about 84c in my account, but I wonder what happens to the promotional amounts? I had a couple of $5 bonuses pending from Amazon and Woolies but these seem to have gone, unlike the transactions themselves. EDIT - ah, all good it seems...

I don't know, but they seemed awfully insistent that I did so (even though the previous emails indicated they would not send a new credit card if not eligible), so I did to avoid anything going wrong.

TBH, unless you've got lots of flights in the US coming up (where silver status can save you a fortune in checked bag fees on AS and AA), silver's not really worth it - its main benefits are priority check-in and a single lounge pass.

Well, my 5000 points and 80 SCs have lobbed in. Already had PCP requalification lined up (and by the looks of it, the points didn't count for that for me, weirdly, given that it was stated that they would) and I'm 601 SCs off WP, so it's of limited use to me.

Status credits on QF classic rewards are eligible for DSCs if you’re PC or PCP. However, classic upgrades see you get the original SCs (but with DSCs if the original ticket was booked during the promo).
