Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026

But also too much. 48 seats in the 737 less existing row 4 and exits. Equals 30 seats at 34" so 5 rows X 4" - equals 20" Which is more like 2/3 a row Maybe thinner seats? Time will tell I guess. Given Plats & above get free access to Plus it's not going to earn a huge amount on some routes.

Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026

Fairly easily - economy seats on adjustable rails afaik. Maybe there are actually some 31" rows on a QF 737 and they are just shifting it all to the front. I can't see them deleting a row.

Lithium Powerbank Ignites in Qantas Lounge

Think the challenge is what's the difference with a powerbank? If you ban powerbanks do you also have to ban mobiles, tablets and laptops. Suspect this is why China went down the CCC path, basically to try and get rid of the super cheap powerbanks that have cheap batteries or non functional BMS.

    Qantas Sydney International Business Lounge

Agreed. And at least one of the pictures shows a door to the terrace so it can be closed off. The most obvious way to create more indoor space would be to make the F and J lounge entrances the same spot just with only F going up the escalators. You could then expand the J lounge over the...

    Qantas starts international wifi

Scrub for today's ViaSat3 launch on Atlas V. Try again in 24hrs. Also confirmation on some of the pre-feed that F2 will be positioned over North and South America, and ViaSat will instead use some of the older Inmarsat satellites to cover EMEA.

    Qantas Sydney International Business Lounge

To be determined who they send to Plaza Premium. I'd think it would make most sense to send pax departing from Gates 50-60 rather than splitting it by Qantas / non-Qantas. Would also suspect that use of lounge passes over this period might be stopped.

Reports that the first dry lease on VH-QPK starts this Friday with QF81 SYD-SIN. As for future dry leases, not sure if AY would be willing to let more aircraft go that long term.

Qantas boosts international capacity, wet lease Finnair aircraft

Will be interesting to see if Qantas is able to arrange a similar wet lease for next year's (26/27) Xmas/ holiday periods, as arguably still a little short of widebodies then. Whereas by the following Xmas they will likely have 3+ Sunrise aircraft flying and I suspect some of the additional 787s.
