I was on QF52 a couple of weeks ago and we had Wi-Fi, announcement made at the start of the flight in SIN. VH-EBO I went to sleep for most of it but it was working ok for the first couple of hours. Not anything like Starlink quality but could use Messenger and Facebook.

There is no official policy. You will see various replies on this thread based on individual circumstances, status and what happened on the day. Some other airlines eg AA do have an unofficial but well known flat tire policy. QF does not AFAIK and anything they do for you is at the discretion...

They don’t do meals there. You need to be in the dining area or adjacent.

Recent Stay Conrad Tokyo Absolute score of at least a 6 category upgrade. Booked standard King City on a cheap, slightly dodgy rate and ended up in the King Deluxe Bay Suite. Rack rate for this room is ¥465,000 a night. Massive suite. Wasted on me by myself.

Yep but if the OP is on a transit then I’d advise against this. Flight connections is usually much quicker even if you have access to the First Wing landside.

No I don’t think there is any way for you to get all 4 into the one lounge without all of you paying at DOH. The Gold and Gold/Platinum lounges only allow paid access for OWR. You could all pay 450 QAR each to access Al Mourjan but I don’t think it’s worth that. At SYD you will get one guest...

T3 has a far better choice of lounges. Even if you stick to just BA the lounge at T3 is far less busy. CX F/J, QF are worth a visit. Best food probably CX F. AA also has J/F lounges but they are very underwhelming.

I’ve actually been quite lucky and scored no security several times on transits. And believe it or not have never had a bus gate departure 🤩 (few arrivals though)
