    Paper towels enhanced from lounges?

No photo evidence, but I just left the lowly Priority Pass international lounge in ADL…. More paper towels lurking therein. How haven’t all these other public bathroom operators caught up with QF’s sector leading greenwashing?

Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026

If true, this is good news! It might also actually please the beancounters - perversely. Thinking laterally, at present on full 737 flights I reckon there's usually about half a dozen people who can't stow their kitchen sink carry-on luggage if they board late, leading to delays, missed slots...

Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026

Where have they published those numbers @WilsonM ? 48 seats on a 737 would be row 4 (6 seats) two exit rows (another 12) and then somehow an additional 30 seats (5 rows). Seeing as they promise extra legroom, they will either need to pull a row out of Y (as if!!), or more likely in my...

Qantas Economy Plus Launching Feb 2026

Beat me to it!!!! I felt it was only a matter of time until something like this emerged given the rows of extra legroom seats on the port side of the A220 fleet and the year or two of monetising row 4. It's somewhat heartening to see that Golds get a little bit of love from this seeing as...

Article: Serviced Apartments vs Hotels for Business Trips

The washing machine in the room is a good point and something I omitted from the article. I've definitely take advantage of being able to do some laundry while away on work trips, even on relatively short trips sometimes. Agree. Just having a proper sized fridge, a microwave, toaster, crockery...

QFF Platinum requesting release of extra Classic Reward seats?

I’ve scrolled through some but not all the pages in this thread…so apologies if this has been asked recently. What’s the anecdotal success rate of J seats being opened up on SYD-SCL? I’m weighing up the cost benefit of an $1800 status run to reach WP by 31 Jan in order to offset having to pay...

    Qantas 787-9 on domestic services

This is what I see as SG on a random Thursday in November. On the previous screen I also saw an “offer” to upgrade to J for $2586 (!!!). Ironically, the PE seat I could get for Y prices is effectively the same as a 737 J seat for a price north of $2k on many flights…

    Oman Air Vs QR business

I'm a bit late to the party on this thread. I flew WY earlier in the year MNL-MCT-MNL. The Apex suites are great. Probably my favourite J seat. Food was decent but not outstanding. Wines in J were very underwhelming and I was left pretty cold by the service on both flights. It was perfunctory...

    Paper towels enhanced from lounges?

Caveat to international lounges, this morning in SYD J lounge, there are paper towels but much more flimsy than the ones we were all used to. They feel almost like wet wipes that aren't wet :-/

Confirming that “recycling concerns” still haven’t reached the MEL Dom J lounge shower suites.

Qantas to introduce hot meals and hot snacks on most domestic flights, extends tea and coffee service

I can still remember how the cabin of a TAA 727 or DC9 smelled when everyone started rolling back the foil on their breakfast surprise! I also remember a tip to the US when I was 7 or 8 and being surprised that even on longish domestic flights (the old Republic Airlines) we got given a tiny...

Qantas to Introduce Group Boarding and Bag Tracking

That’s a bit surprising. I haven’t seen group boarding in action on Intl flights yet, but on domestic, the scanners deny boarding and the staff point to the red light and tell people to step aside until their group is called.

Korean LCC T'Way Air to rebrand as Trinity Airlines

Hopefully the rebrand will see better alignment between premium cabin product and fares. Then I was researching this article for AFF, T’Way’s prices to ICN and beyond were pretty comparable to proper business class on legacy airline competitors. Certainly not Air AsiaX prices to sit in former...

Article: Toasties Vs a Terminal Tipple: Is Paid Lounge Membership Good Value?

A lot of third party lounges just don’t seem to care about upkeep. I was in “The House” in Sydney earlier in the year. I never saw it in its Etihad days but apparently it used to be a great lounge. Now that it’s a contract lounge, the furniture didn’t look much better than this, sadly.

Article: Toasties Vs a Terminal Tipple: Is Paid Lounge Membership Good Value?

Hahaha! It’s a little ritual to grab a couple whenever I leave the lounge to chew on on the way to the gate. Most Qantas clubs have a jar or two scattered around the lounge. I grabbed some in CBR today near the espresso machine at the bar. In SYD they are often near the DIY coffee machines and...

Qantas to Introduce Group Boarding and Bag Tracking

I can confirm my coaster worked fine the other day from MEL-SYD, checking in on a next gen machine … which was no less temperamental for everyone than the old ones were. I don’t think I would be game to try that. Even if the machine accepts it, the first human who encounters your bag will have...

Another vote of thanks from me. I really enjoyed the day and learned a lot. @Bazzi it was lovely to meet you and share a table!
