    IHG Hotels that recognise status

Think I just ended up with one of those upgrades of the century. Two nights at Intercontinental Chiang Mai in one of three Ambassador Suites. 110+m² over four rooms and two bathrooms. Photos to come. Had booked a not cheap (at A$500+) Premium Terrace with Lounge access (Plat Ambassador with no...

Refurbishment at MEL QF International Business lounge?

Reading between the lines, Qantas is waiting for MEL Airport to finalise it's plans for international terminal expansion, which might hopefully open up some alternative spaces that aren't so dungeon like...

SYD Airport Train Proposal from 1991

My understand is it was a lot closer to netting off these days. Mascot and Green Square usage went up substantially when the fee was subsidised, and usage has continued to grow quicker than the airport stations due to the substantial amount of highrise at both locations. What might be more...

Current Qantas First Lounge Menu (SYD/MEL) and relevant topics

All based on timing. Maybe something just done for paid F two days before to give them the best chance. But as mentioned above with the timing of QF63 and QF83 from SYD and only one therapist in the mornings you really only have 2 slots for 28 pax.

Aerobridge hits QF63 (A380) at SYD

So about an 80-hr fix from the Sat morning incident. VH-OQH about to operate QF1.

Card payment sucharges banned in Australia from 2026

Is that meant to mean debit cards for the last two? Or also extends to credit cards?

    QANTAS Cyber Incident

Think most have assumed it was two separate entries in the database, maybe one personal FF, one business rewards for example.

Aerobridge hits QF63 (A380) at SYD

They didn't have a plane. VH-OQH still yet to fly since the incident. Sun Mornings QF63D seemingly took the aircraft (VH-OQI) that was scheduled for QF81, with QF81 operated by an A333 - unfortunate for F passengers in particular.

    QANTAS Cyber Incident

Possible report of use of information on Reddit. Note the OP has not responded to say whether the information "number of points" is near accurate or just a hope and send strategy https://www.reddit.com/r/QantasFrequentFlyer/s/e4KxZuM1GO And a very odd expression of time.

    Qantas' New A321XLR

First of it's type and presumably pilots switching over rather than new hires with recent type experience. QLink did the same thing with the 220s. Indeed they launched services with two aircraft

    QANTAS Cyber Incident

Don't think it's even that. No reason a fully Australian based call centre where all the employees were Qantas empliyees may not be susceptible to similar tactics. Databases are unfortunately necessary tools today, but present massive risks and every company needs to look at controls around...

Aerobridge hits QF63 (A380) at SYD

They try but rarely hit it. This mornings QF81 was scheduled for 1110, 2 hrs after the incoming QF12 docked at the gate. Ended up about an 1135 pushback. Gate 10 is pretty horrid at the moment. Almost no place to stand due to all the hoardings and speakers that barely work.
