    Had same problem, this worked for me... Try logging in the normal Amex website, then google / bing for "Amex Travel" or the following link Book Flights, Hotels, Cars & Holidays | Amex Travel AU from there it was logged into the travel site and functioned normally. Seems to be a redirect issue...

    Accidental MR point booking

    did the exact thing on Saturday, was not happy when I realised and thought the points were gone at a terrible rate (0.006c). Called this morning and they were quite helpful. All sorted within a few mins and the $50 statement credit notification for Amex travel came through shortly after.
