Need to decide which to earn - Velocity or Krisflyer

Oh well... I usually don't transfer my points from my cc until I'm ready to make a booking but last year I made a rewards booking and then had to cancel so I thought "warehousing" was something clever to combat losing sq miles.. But sadly it's not

Need to decide which to earn - Velocity or Krisflyer

What do you mean by 'warehoused to avoid expiry'? I've never heard of that term and I have a problem using my sq miles before they're due to expire Thanks

Trouble transferring expiring miles SQ to VA

I had the same issue and I bought a minimum amount of points to give me an extra 6 months but finally this month I had no choice but to spend them in the shop. Having to do that was very annoying. I have another 12 months until 150000 will expire and I will also transfer to velocity. But...

Answered please help me to understand about transfers

hossein thanks, yes, it's quite simple. I did just call Krisflyer and there was no wait time, so, it was quite easy. The customer service rep did explain everything very clearly to me and, the only difference from your answer above, is that I can purchase 10,000 kf points for US$12 which will...

Answered please help me to understand about transfers

thank you both for the advice... so- would the comment by Scr77 be correct- can I just transfer 4500 points out of the account and that would be acceptable? or will they still go ahead and expire another 4,500? I cannot even think of booking a flight right now - it's out of the question...

Answered please help me to understand about transfers

I have been alerted to the fact that in February 4,500 sq points will expire from my Krisflyer account. at this time I have a total of 155,414 in my Kris Flyer account. this week I transferred 50,000 miles from my Velocity account over to the Kris flyer thinking this would take care of the...

    Alaska airlines mileage plan

Wow...I havent checked this thread for around 12 months and just caught up. I really learned a lot with all the great conversations..such as these miles never expire but buying more doesnt stop the account from becoming inactive.. So..the dilemma.. I'm dealing with very serious family health...

Etihad service in J. Anyone else disappointed?

we are halfway through our five week overseas jaunt and this is the first opportunity I've had to write about our Etihad J experience - we all thought it was fabulous. the FAs were absolutely brilliant- smiley, helpful and very nice. The food was the best we've experienced on any airline -...

Etihad service in J. Anyone else disappointed?

I messaged Etihad on their Facebook Messenger and the reply was "no more pjs" we shall see, in under two weeks and I'll be sure to post and give my opinion about the flights- we are flying MEL-AUH-IST and on the way home - AMMAN-AUH-MEL.

Etihad service in J. Anyone else disappointed?

I do appreciate what I've got BUT still disappointed with their cost-cutting antics- how can they not offer pj's on a 15 hour flight? that's just wrong - and, even though I don't really drink, I was looking forward to ordering a cocktail at the bar at Tulla -

    AA's SYD-LAX flight

I agree, the AA FAs are not quite as well turned out as any other airlines I've flown. Added, on our flight one of the FAs was absolutely dosed up on Perfume - it was so strong it made me feel quite sick. I kept praying for her not to come too close to me. For myself, I'd really think twice...

    I am still confused

Thank you again Roo - All the other award flights I've ever booked with American have issued the tickets quite quickly. We are flying out in September and back at end of October- our tickets were issued very quickly after I booked. I probably won't breathe, eat nor sleep until the new tickets...

    I am still confused

yes, Roo, that is correct. I am using AA Miles for 3 business seats on Etihad. I called American Airlines (Advantage) and they have said that they have availability on our new flights- it doesn't seem to be a problem. but, I feel nervous and uneasy that anything could go wrong and the tickets...

eeeeeeeeeeeek......there are over 200 pages - please someone...should I be nervous about changing my flights (I've called two or three times, and there is definitely availability)

    I am still confused

a short while ago, when I posted about reading of the ceasing of codeshare between AA Advantage and Etihad and I received a couple of replies saying that codeshare would cease, but Awards stay the same. (someone else posted that they wondered for how long it would be possible) After thinking...
