How many AFFers will be on the first JQ787 commercial service MEL OOL Nov 13?

Business class with the humongous windows - they really make a difference to the feel of the cabin. Obligatory window shot, featuring that wing tip. Landing at OOL.

    I expect a co-branded JQ/Boeing t-shirt - 'I survived the first JQ 787'. Everything else is a bonus.

How many AFFers will be on the first JQ787 commercial service MEL OOL Nov 13?

I'm on the MEL-OOL flight. I have been waiting for this plane for years and wouldn't miss the Australian inaugural. Missed out on *class but got an exit row for $10. Booked a QF reward on the way back. Very exciting!

VA invests in Tiger, buys Skywest, SQ investment & ACCC Concerns

re: VA invests in Tiger, buys Skywest, SQ investment & ACCC Concerns Virgin is split into two entities, VA Holdings (the domestic airline and listed holding company) and VA International Holdings (the international airline and unlisted holding company). VA invests in Tiger, buys Skywest, SQ investment & ACCC Concerns

re: VA invests in Tiger, buys Skywest, SQ investment & ACCC Concerns Wow. Say what you like about Tiger as a franchise, but VA's presence can only improve their operation. I don't see VA replacing their own services for TT as QF did when JQ was born, rather, mixing them in similar to how JQ...

    Scoot SYD/OOL to SIN $88

Just booked then for the F1, $450 return including the 'super' 2-abreast seats down the back. Stoked. The 2am return flight will actually work out well considering the F1 finishes at midnight. Burnt some QFF points to get a MEL-SYD leg and I'm sorted. By comparison, couldn't find a direct...

ACCC launches action against AirAsia for hidden fees

I couldn't see any $99 flight that was all inclusive, maybe I was just too late. I remember AAX used to be quite good at including tax in the advertised price when they launched AU flights. Not sure if that's changed since they started advertising connections.

Virgin Australia Lifetime Lounge Membership now available

I still can't see the value in it. Surely the people Virgin Australia indicate are the target market for this would just purchase day passes any time they needed to fly, rather than part with 10k upfront? I can't imagine a situation where one would fly enough to make this investment...

How exactly are SCs calculated when flying with VA and VX? And SC for the US SkyWest?

Re: How exactly are SCs calculated when flying with VA and VX? And SC for the US SkyW I think you're right with the latter assumption. As the VX flights are not VA codeshares, they should be earners on their own. For your second question, if the flight is ticketed and coded by DL, it should...
