    Amex annual fee refund delay

Query solved - credit was placed on account in December. Positive outcome but less than satisfactory process, far from the level of service normally expected from Amex.

    Amex annual fee refund delay

Hi all, was just wondering, how long does it usually take for Amex to refund an annual fee? Card was cancelled October, and they said remaining balance of annual fee would be refunded. No response/refund for a few months - online chat at end of December, said they would follow up. To this day...

Hi PB, How are you? Just quick question from a fellow AFF'er. I saw you mentioned using KF to donate suite flights to family/friends - how do I do this if the points are in my KF account? TIA, nitsujay

Credit cards you are cancelling post 2017 changes

I just canceled a nab velocity rewards premium card. Dropping from 1.5 VFF points to 1 per $1 amex spend meant it no longer held a competitive advantage. And the cancellation letter stated: "Just to confirm. If you've closed a credit card account which earns rewards points, any rewards points...

NAB enhances™ points earn on their cards

Correct me if I'm wrong, after 1st July the Amex card will still earn 1 VFF/$1 for government/utility/telco spend? compared to the common 0.5/$1 with other providers? This, combined with the 7 insurances, may be this card's saving grace.

Virgin Money credit cards (linked to Velocity rewards)

I'd be interested in hearing about what you find - I haven't seen any other non-Amex Visa/MC that offer the same points earn of 1 velocity point for $1 spend (for the High Flyer Visa, I think it's less for the Flyer Visa)

AMEX Platinum Charge Card now 120,000 points!

Yes I did - I also have an Amex Plat Edge. Signed up on the last day of the 120k offer. I feared I wouldn't get the bonus points but was reassured when I read further commentary here, and then the points came. Happy days.

Virgin Flyer 30k / Virgin High Flyer 50K Velocity points

I successfully upgraded from Flyer to High Flyer as I couldn't find any other non-Amex non-QFF points earning cards that could net 1pt/$1 (most were either 0.5 or ~0.66pt/$1). Funny thing is I had used the $129 voucher from the Flyer and when the HF came, Virgin Money couldn't issue another...

AMEX Platinum Charge Card now 120,000 points!

+1 for the effort. Don't forget that you can claim the BP offer 3 times per card :)

AMEX Platinum Charge Card now 120,000 points!

Raise a query and send a message via your Amex log-in. Customer service has been very attentive for previous queries of mine; I've also read other forums where there were mix-ups with restaurant/hotel points (different points-earn tiers) and Amex happily credited members with points owed. Worth...

AMEX Platinum Charge Card now 120,000 points!

Correct me if I'm wrong, I believe Amex no longer offer the Platinum Edge Card (as a free additional card).

Virgin Flyer 30k / Virgin High Flyer 50K Velocity points

Thanks for that handy piece of advice! Were you successful in upgrading? And I assume you did this online?

Virgin Flyer 30k / Virgin High Flyer 50K Velocity points

As a Flyer cardholder wishing to upgrade, is it possible to cancel, then re-apply for the High Flyer card in order to get this promotion? Or might I have to wait 12 months? Since the Flyer card earn rate was reduced to 0.6 points per $1, I'm keen to look elsewhere to get better value. Despite...

    Upgrading on Thai using points

My experience with the local office (MEL) was very pleasant. The representative I spoke to was extremely helpful and was able to assist with redeeming miles for an upgrade to Royal Silk (business) class for myself and the fiance. Looking forward to our upcoming honeymoon!

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but were you successful? I might try to upgrade from an economy seat for MEL-USM

Qantas or Virgin? (mostly interstate travel)

Hello AFF Community, Long time lurker, first time poster. I've currently taken up a new job where I'll be flying a bit (details below). Prior to this, I've aligned myself with Virgin Airlines ie. personal expenses via an Amex Platinum Edge (primary) and Virgin Velocity (secondary) credit cards...
