I was not. Lucky not to be struck over the head with a fuel drain for my misdemeanor.

    Ask The Pilot

I remember being reprimanded for having ‘lazy feet’ in the earlier days of my training. As time went by I came to understand that the old boy next to me might have a point.

    A380 future post-COVID-19

Still see two of the more senior blokes on the 380 (PP and GM) still driving buses around my local area so it’s just not that type of bus…..

Qantas reopens international bookings from July 2021 [now December]

As someone who detests cynicism I have to sadly agree. It could also be a clue as to how dire QF’s financial position is. They’ve just missed another boom period due to domestic lockdowns. At the beginning of the pandemic they supposedly had enough in cash reserves to last until the end of 2021...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

As much as I want to agressively disagree with that, I cant. Do you subscribe to the idea that the govt will bail QF out though?

Virgin to lose A330's and B777's - become mid range airline - really?

On the Australian Aviation podcast they talked about how Qatar was essentially operating as Australia's flag carrier. Perhaps they are wise beyond their years. At least the name change wouldn't be a huge leap.

    Tales from the Air

Was it quite common for people to follow the path you took as an observer to pilots course or were you an abberation? Did you still have to go through the standard selection process that an external applicant would or was it modified because you were already in the military?

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

I keep stating this to friends and family. Most look at me like I have ten heads. i don't think the average Joe comprehends just how catastrophic this has already been.
