Turns out to be too good to be true. Got the $10 Wirra Wirra Scubby Rise Shiraz instead. Couldn't fulfil the order and said would refund and can keep the wine. Anyone else had the same problem or better resolution?

Great wine. I picked a couple of the 2018s from LL for $5 a couple months ago when they were clearing out their range. Did the honourable thing and left 9 bottles behind. Regretted leaving 9 bottles behind after I tasted it that night. Haha

89 points is a shocker for the 2007 Bos. Halliday normally dishes out 95+ points like Santa. What did Santa Halliday say for the 89? I did like the 06 Bos so sitting on the fence.

St Henri 12 is back in stock at some locations at FirstChoice at $82 single bottle price or $59 in a pack of 2 with the ShopBack 30% ($30 cap) and 10% off code. WA locations include Clarkson and Midland. IMO amazing vintage and price for the St Henri.

I would report the employee and store to LL head office to send a message... happens too often that the staff take all the good deals and us deal chasers miss out 😭. Generally they can’t reserve wines for themselves, hide them or buy them until after their shift finishes. Dodgy behaviour.

Had some of the 2012 Brookman merlot from WA and it's a coughper! Should have listened to other mates that returned theirs. Nose was okay initially. Slight "ash" on the nose with an overpowering alcohol smell after 30 mins to never left. Very savoury taste / dead to non-existent fruit...

Go for it!!! Wills Domain make great wines. Don't think of it as a 100 wine and you'll be fine. Their cabs can be drunk fairly young 3-8 years. Then they go to sleep before coming alive 15yrs+.

Darn ... almost setup an Afterpay account to capitalise on the VM wines.

Thanks Dave_Aus. Great review. Sounds like a decent wine but a soft Coonawarra Cab doesn't do it for me so I'll have to pass. When I go Coonawarra Cab I prefer a body slam!

Thanks Dave_Aus and RB for confirming Jim Brand Domain Cabernet. Do let us know how it tastes when you pop one open. Nothing much in the independent reviews space.

Woodlands Margaret $41 after 20% cashback at BWS until midnight. Not bad considering Dan’s are selling them for $68 before CAshback.

Got the same cash back too. Not exactly 30%. Hate how they take the after tax sale price to calculate the cashback. $51 x 0.9 x 30% = $13.77 Anyone know if Cashrewards do the same dodgy GST calculation?

Thanks for clarifying RB. 12 months in oak was very unusual for Woody Nook and I almost got tricked into buying a case. From past experience Aravina is a big C/S that needs time but in a different league from WN.

Thanks RB. Very unusual for Gallaghers to only have 12m in oak as. Usually minimum 18-24 months in oak followed by a couple years bottle b4 release. The vintage was supposed to be good so a bit confused why they cut it short / went cheap and possibly changed the style.

the ringbolt 18s were surprisingly really good for a young wine. Not one you can keep beyond 5 years IMO. At $12 is amazing. Dunno the vintage but most likely 19s. If only you could find the vintage. No knowing the vintage is part of the reason I've never bought from BB before.

It tastes like someone punched you in the face. Never got better the next day either. Good luck but not my style of wine.
