Difference between Int driving license and Int driving permit

Coincidentally, we’ve just booked a car through Autoeurope for Florida and received this message in our confirmation tonight. We will have one for the first part of our trip in Spain in any case.

Uluru in the summer - planning my first visit

Thanks for correcting me about my own neighbourhood 😂 You might like to google Field of Lights, the installation by British artist Bruce Munro that was set up in 2017 and will close at the end of this year. I’ve added a screen shot for you. Glad your visit to Uluru was so memorable.

Uluru in the summer - planning my first visit

It’s still very peaceful and the light installation by artist Bruce Munro doesn’t detract from the opportunity to stargaze. It covers more than 7 football fields with gentle lights. You’ll only see them if you specifically go on a tour so if it’s not your thing, you have plenty of chances to be...

    RTW Business Class FF points

We’ve done the return flight Perth London two years in a row, just in economy. No problems whatsoever, much better than sitting around Dubai airport for a few hours. No complaints at all.

Uluru in the summer - planning my first visit

Field of Light installation is a couple of years old.... impossible to have done it 20 years ago! The drinks and nibbles package then time spent wandering under the night sky through the installation is worth doing and won’t blow the budget you mentioned you are on. Enjoy this spectacular part...

QF Fokker 100 - not a terrible plane at all!

I wonder if platinum status will still be taken into account, given we can only check in 24 hours before flight. I’ll soon find out. I use that flight a lot.

QF Fokker 100 - not a terrible plane at all!

About to use this for the first time Alice to Darwin Qantas so I’m comforted by the quite positive comments on the F100. However, anyone know why I can’t select my seat? That’s a change for the worse.

Tanami Desert and a jaded P1

Dolly Pot Inn was the great restaurant at the squash courts. Owner Karen Sheldon is still very active in NT particularly in training for hospitality. Dolly Pot was memorable ... obviously. 😁🍷

    Road Trip South From Barcelona?

Thanks..... I’ll check it out as well. We still have 6 nights to fill from Valencia to Malaga.

    Road Trip South From Barcelona?

I’ve had a look at altitude and think it might be very very cold in January. It’s much higher than Granada and we’ve been there twice in Jan in recent years....brrr! Still open to suggestions though. Nerja was a beautiful place on the coast south of Granada. It would be lovely to find somewhere...

Oh great, thanks for that. I’ll read your report then locate them on the map. Much appreciated.

    Road Trip South From Barcelona?

We haven’t driven south from Barcelona to Malaga before so wondering if anyone has any must see stopping points. So far we have booked accommodation at Barcelona, Atafulla and Valencia. We have been to Granada a few times so might not go that far inland. We like small towns, less visited places...

Qatar Economy Class - The Very Good and the Slightly Annoying.

Didn’t know about that but we opted to stay two nights to break the journey and explore somewhere new. From the advice on this thread, we will have enough to do to make it worthwhile. It’s also our meeting up point with family flying in from another part of Australia before we start our...

A Night at Field of Light plus some walking and a helicopter - Uluru, finally

But it’s worth it....as a local of Central Australia, I’ve been more than 10 times for work and pleasure. It never fails to stun me. The colours, the red sand....go. It will be hot but get out and about early, swim during the day and then watch sunset. Field of Lights is worth a splurge...

Qatar Economy Class - The Very Good and the Slightly Annoying.

Excellent thanks. Where did you get your local currency? Presume it’s needed for taxis, if not much else?

Th Thank you. madrooster is doing the accomm through QR with us....heard Marriott Marquis Is really good but will keep your recommendation in mind if that’s not an option. We arrive at 5am, meet up with family coming in from Melb on QR around same time. Not too sure how we will handle that...

Qatar Economy Class - The Very Good and the Slightly Annoying.

We are booked to stop for two nights in Doha from Adelaide in economy, then on to Barcelona. I keep hearing about the awful lounge we will have access to when we fly out of Doha, as QF platinum. Might be better to stay out in the main area? Anyway, really good prices and it’s our first time...
