QF Upgrades - Successes or Failures (post results)

Just to add my recent experience. Unfortunately, due to a change of job, I no longer travel as much as I used to, so dropped to Lifetime SG last year from WP. I was booked on a sale premium economy fare, BNE-LAX on 6/6, returning LAX-BNE 12/6 (tonight). I also did not have enough points for an...

Free to good home - Qantas First Class pyjamas and amenity kit

Hi guys, I have done a big clean out at home, and am making available to AFF members the following: 2 x Qantas First Class Pyjamas L/XL size (Martin Grant) and First Class Amenity Kit (PJ;s and Kit will go together) 1 x L/XL Qantas Business class Pyjamas (Peter Morrissey) I have donated about 20...

    Chauffeur drive from London Heathrow

Actually, can confirm it is radius from the airport, so can be more than 70 driven miles. If you exceed the radius, Carey will give you an invoice that outlines how far the destination is from the airport and you pay the difference (in 10 mile radius increments). I have used this service to...

    The End of Cheap Status

No, this is actually on the AA website. This is why it is such a surprise. Even though I have my QFF number in the booking, it is not showing up on Qantas MMB.

    The End of Cheap Status

So I have just checked my booking for April next year, and get the message that the airline has cancelled one or more of my bookings. As expected, flights are exactly the same. The interesting thing though, is that my US domestic flights (HNL-DFW, DFW-MIA) are now both showing up as being in the...

Requesting QF open up an F award on QF1

Interestingly, I requested a seat to be opened up on QF1 on a Sunday Syd - Dxb, with Expert Flyer showing F9 A9 about 2 months out (for a Sunday departure early November), and was declined, so ended up on QF9. I then found about 3 weeks later P1 showing on this exact flight, so snagged it. Not...

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

And just got the email that both my HNL flights have changed to A330-300. I am quite happy about this!

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

Just looking at my flights booked for next year, QF4 arrives back at 8.15pm. According to my calculations, it would be impossible for QF to operate the PEK and HNL flights using two specific aircraft. Not sure what is going to happen, perhaps A333 on some days, or maybe retiming of HNL flights??

    The End of Cheap Status

And reduction in points and SC earn for Australian domestic flights 600-750 miles, but still charging higher points for redemption and upgrades!

    The End of Cheap Status

And of course, this is in addition to the reduction in AA SC for short haul trips in the most recent (albeit some time ago now) "Simpler and Fairer" changes. I wonder how they will handle bookings already made, I have a nice little HNL-DFW-MIA-MBJ return trip booked for May next year, with...

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

Who else thinks that us on AFF have more information than Qantas Customer Care?

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

I would expect other Asian routes will utilize A330-200 to free up one A330-300. Given that all reconfigs are done now, this will free up 2 additional aircraft that have been unavailable since this started.

First* Class with an Asterisk [*Lesser treatment when not WP..]

The menus on QF international are changed every 3 months, and there does seem to be similar dishes on LHR and USA flights (without any pork or dishes containing alcohol for flights to LHR). The next menu is due out next month for Sept, Oct and Nov, so hopefully one of our forum members will...

QF9/10 Not Operating Tuesdays in November

Hi all, I have just noticed that QF9/10, the MEL-LHR A380 service, is not operating on Tuesdays throughout November. This, in itself, is not unusual, the same thing happened at this time last year. What I do find strange, however, is that for both services the cancelled flight is on Tuesday...

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

EBL is currently on its way back from HNL to SYD, so will need to see where it goes from there.

Well that explains it, I am sure QF51 ex BNE was showing as -300 last night before I posted and on Friday when I checked.
