Paper towels enhanced from lounges?

I note that Qantas has resolved this issue in the HBA lounge by “enhancing” the bathrooms completely out of the lounge offering

Unfortunately that lounge is rather ordinary to put it politely. Just needs a Business Lounge now.

Well it’s clearly been “renovated” since my last visit as I distinctly recall it having a bathroom. But yes, it’s an exceedingly average lounge (to put it politely).

This is the temporary lounge while the terminal gets expanded; the old lounge footprint is behind it. Yet smaller than the original, it looks like the newer theme/design and will be in use for at least another year.

The new permanent lounge will be larger than the original, but not by much. Toilet and paper towel status: unknown.

I was in the Sydney Business Lounge yesterday afternoon and was rather surprised to see that the enhanced away towels were back. As you can see from the photos, it was a rather crude presentation, just rip open the packet, leave it and go.

They weren't there the day before and I have no idea if they'll be there again. But it was nice to see/use them, anyway.

This looks to me like a thrifty WP has identified their storage of these hand towels (in the cupboards below the sinks in the shower suites), and kindly de-enhanced the bathroom amenities!
