Well I must admit that I'm tempted. Now I need an excuse to visit ADL again - anyone interested in an AFF meet-up or perhaps a winery tour? :p
I'd like to try out the Rex lounge this time...

Sure thing

I wonder if there's a date that works for most people? I was looking at late April/early May.

Paging @RooFlyer @Buzzard @AIRwin @Matt_01 and anyone else who may be interested who is based in ADL or wants to fly there on one of the $99 tickets :)

Pah! I went to book for a trip to Adelaide I'm doing on 1 July, but I only want one-way.

Sure, I'm up for a ADL get-together late April early May.

Not valid for flight search using vouchers then...

Not what I want to hear :( I have some GV I need to burn. Might call and see if its possible to use them for these fares.

One the sale page, following the link it says at the bottom:

If you’d like to book and pay for this flight using a valid Qantas Flight Credit, call us on 13 13 13 to discuss your options.

Does that help? Or do they mean credit from a previously cancelled flight?

Sounds like that mean a credit from a cancelled flight. In my case, I have several GV I'd like to burn.

There is another rally in the Barossa the weekend after Burra, will be tempted to fly back for another 40 sc's. I'm sure Max and the boss can cope without me......

@Mattg I might be interested if the dates work. I am supposed to be in Qld for the middle part of April. Even if it's only an overnighter to meet up for dinner that might work. Can't believe I'm volunteering to flying economy.

We’ve booked 19 may to 22 may, show day weekend for us so may as well take advantage of the long weekend :).

VA has matched the sale and it looks like it is valid for one-way bookings:

To be honest, I would rather fly Qantas if it's the same price. Guaranteed lounge in CBR, free food and drinks on board, wifi, etc. at no extra cost.

I think the contenders would be the weekends of 24-25 April (although the Sunday is Anzac Day) or 1-2 May.

@Buzzard either of those work for you?

I can confirm a few interesting things from this sale:

1. The conditions require a return, however you can get creative. You can do single open jaws or even double open jaws.

Single open jaw examples:

MEL-ADL, ADL-SYD ($99 + $99)
SYD-ADL-PLO, ADL-SYD ($169 + $99)

Double open jaw examples:

BNE-ADL-PLO, ADL-MEL ($169 + $99)

2. You can daisy chain multiple of these fares on a single ticket.

Example:

SYD-ADL-PLO, PLO-ADL-BNE, BNE-ADL, ADL-MEL ($169 + $169 + $99 + $99)

3. You can combine these fares with other non-SA-sale fares to make triangle trips etc. You can also combine other non-sale fares, eg. flexi Y fares or even J fares.

Example:

MEL-SYD, SYD-ADL-PLO, PLO-ADL-MEL ($109 + $169 + $169)

4. It's not just a SA sale...

You can use it to get to PER cheaper for example, and also visit SA whilst you're at it.

Example:

CBR-ADL, ADL-PER, PER-ADL, ADL-CBR ($99 + $99 + $99 + $99)

For comparison:

CBR-PER one way indirect via MEL/SYD is normally $369 one way.
CBR-PER non stop is normally $433 one way.

All of the above must be booked over the phone. Ask for the booking fee to be waived since you cannot book it online.

Not what I want to hear :( I have some GV I need to burn. Might call and see if its possible to use them for these fares.

If they're from cancelled flights, why don't you take a refund?

I can confirm yes you can use purchased gift vouchers and also flight credits. You can even combine the two together.

They were GV purchased during various double SC periods pre-Covid.

I've booked for 1-3 May. If there's enough people around and interested, I've started a thread for an Adelaide AFF dinner on 1 May.
