Experience
When entering the lounge, you’ll notice some temporary changes:
  • You may be asked to provide your contact details as part of COVID-19 traceability requirements
  • Capacity restrictions are in place, which may impact access during peak periods
  • Increased social distancing
  • Changes to food and beverage services
  • Access to hand sanitising stations
  • Shower facilities aren't available

Eligibility requirements
Lounge access eligibility conditions apply, however there's some new temporary measures in place.
  • If a Qantas Club lounge is closed and a Business lounge is open in that same airport, you’ll be able to access the Business lounge if capacity limits haven’t been met.
  • If you’d like to bring a guest into the lounge, you both must be travelling on the same Qantas flight.
Due to capacity restrictions, you may not be able to enter the lounge if you:
  • have a complimentary lounge invitation,
  • are a guest of an eligible lounge member and you aren't travelling on the same flight as the member, or
  • are a guest of an eligible lounge member and you aren't travelling.

I like those pics. Much nicer looking than the usual Neil Perry slop. :p

I wonder if they'll discriminate against JQ pax if it starts getting full?
Think of it this way, so far, as of now, no QF flights MEL - ADL, only one JQ flight a day.
The QFd QP/J lounge is at T1, and the JQ flight to ADL depearts at MEL T4, if I had to fly to MEL/vv, and do 14 day self iso, I would not waste time going to the QF lounge and back again to MEL T4.
Not so bad if T1 and T4 were somehow connected, [(inside dom secure zone, (avia sec)) difficult to imagine, but could be done if MEL airport spent money...], but if they (flyers) were really keen, maybe its worth it to go from T4 to T1 and back, but at the moment, but for me, its too troublesome.
For MEL & SYD in particular, unless a QFF with lounge access flying JQ was really keen, they would probably go to the MEL/SYD QF QP/J lounge, but other than that, going through 2 sets of dom aviation security checks, no fun.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Frustrating that the Darwin QC is remaining closed until August (past the July 17th border opening). I've got travel due there at the end of the month. I would've expected it open mid-July too.

International services are a long way off and the first will likely be NZ, which never had F on QF. So made me think - if the MEL/SYD F lounges also reopen but without A380s in service, will WP/P1s get a better chance at the spas? ;) Or would they shut them as too high a risk in the medium term?

Sadly I think they would be considered too high a risk of person to person transmission.

And as a traveller would you want to take the risk of catching COVID-19 on your departure flight?

As much as I really enjoy my spa treatment I can't see me availing myself of the opportinity should it arise in the near future.
