Coles gift card offers

Found this advertised in store today. It was NOT advertised in the regular weekly catalogue, so there is a small possibility that it is store specific. In any case this is problematic for me as the store had no stock!
This implies the one per account is not being enforced. Can you confirm you bought 2x$100 vanilla visas?
No just the one, it was 2000 points per $100 card

I've yet to see a promo that allows more than one bonus points.

I reckon it's once only

Coles occasionally have multi buy promos, sadly this wasn’t one.

I bought a couple, only got points once. Was worth trying even though it didn’t work out.

RACQ seems to cap it at $500 per week - delivered instantly though. RACQ is done through loyalty corp.

Very bad news on RACQ coles gift cards - in the last week or so they have changed the coles gift cards to max $100 day, $400 month (and it explicitly states $4800 p.a. (which is totally unnecessary drafting ...)).

The option to buy $200 gift cards has gone - it's just $50 and $100. For good measure they are 'out of stock' of both the $50 and $100 - which isn't a great sign given that it is an electronic product.

My RACQ membership is up for renewal in a few weeks - I don't think that I will renew. I'll buy through HCF at 5% discount but with a 1% credit card fee. HCF sells $200 vouchers which is good for the prepaid visa cards at $105/$106 where you cannot split the payment. The only catch with HCF is that it's not as convenient to buy as the RACQ app and the PDF they send you doesn't scan particularly well (i.e. not at all) on my phone but is ok if you print it out. I'll have to plan ahead rather than just purchasing whilst waiting in the checkout queue.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Via OzB, from Wednesday: 2000 bonus fb ($10) on purchasing $100 Coles Prepaid Mastercard Giftcard; $5 Activation Fee
Confirmed that this appears in the catalogue which commences Wednesday March 13.

NOTE: No denomination for the card is actually specified, although the picture is of a $100 card. It is possible that a $50 card could also trigger the 2000 points.

Update (17/3) - Coles is still showing as a gift card option on RACQ, but when you click on it there is a message saying 'Offer not available.' The Ts&Cs and other content has also dropped off the page.

I think that this one is now toast. Alas - it was great whilst it lasted. Over to you HCF (and I'll give the suncorp app a go to see how easy to use that is).

Has anyone tested this with the $50 card ?

For those that use the Uber gift cards, what am I doing wrong?

I've tired to use the $50 gift card I have linked to my account to make a payment for a delivery but I was charged the full amount for my order to my credit card.

How do you ensure that the gift card is used first?

I was charged the full amount on my credit card, but the invoice suggest differently:

Hi all.
I can confirm the purchase of the $50 gift card DID trigger the full 2,000 FB points.
The Purchase cost is $55.

It appears Coles have not issued a catalogue this week, so I have no knowledge of any gift card offers.

I think issued but not distributed. Seems strange as I did get others delivered today.

We know how important the Coles catalogue is for customers to build their shopping list and help them get the best value groceries each week.

As a temporary measure, we have reluctantly decided to not distribute the Coles catalogue to households from this week.

We do not want our customers to be disappointed that the specials they have spotted in the catalogue are not available at their local store due to the unprecedented level of demand we have seen in recent days.

We will still continue to have a wide range of products on special each week in store and encourage customers to keep an eye out on the yellow tickets when they visit their local Coles store.

Some customers may receive their copy of the Coles catalogue this week from early distribution ahead of this decision.

a question for the marketing experts,

when the shelves are empty and people are buyign everything, is there any point in having specials or trying to draw the crowds in??

or do they still need to produce catalogues to get the upper hand over their main rival woolies/aldi

Many catalogue offers are funded by/in partnership with manufacturers. These would be negotiated out quite some time in advance.

Appears to be no catalogue again this week.

Whilst this is not good news for gift card opportunities it is even worse news as there appears to be a distinct lack of 'specials' available in store. Who knew how expensive grocery items actually were when they aren't on special! I miss the 50% off specials!
