I want to book Mr HB and myself a business award flight. And then separately book HB12 and HB14 economy paid on same flight. As they are both 12+ I know I can book seats for them as adults... But will I run into issues (i.e needing them to be booked as UMs) at check.
Thanks.

12 and over is fine. No need to book them as unaccompanied minors.

Even 3 year olds are fine.

I know you're referring to Qantas but I book my daughters VA flights separate to mine as I'm trying to maximise use of gift vouchers and I have no issues calling and linking bookings and getting her seated next to me.

The question was about separate cabins. You aren't sitting your daughter in a separate cabin.

Is that domestic? I haven't been able to book under 12s international on their own booking without them being UMs.

Should clarify - this is an international booking.

Yes that is domestic.

One option is to book an adult and child business award and an adult and child economy ticket and swap seats through the flight. I don't think cabin crew will have an issue with swapping seats if told in advance.

No need for that at all.
They are 12 and over. Not unaccompanied minors according to qantas.
