Hello everyone,

Can I barge into this Hobart Wine, Food and Gin tasting weekend? I like Hobart, food, wine, gin and, although I have not been very active, AFFers. Seems like things should go well!

Re Gold, Silver, Platinum - can someone help me out with difference between Gold and Bronze? I'm not Platinum just yet, need to sort out a few details first.

Getting more likely I will be in Tassie in March but not definite.Would also depend on weekend roster.
At present I will say gold.

Not sure and I can’t find the resource that might explain them I had figured it’s a bit like this

Platinum means definitely going

Gold I think means high probability but need to work out flights and timing

Silver - does this get used much ?

Bronze means thanks for the invite but really unlikely

Am chatting to a new driver for this tour and will have an estimation of prices soon. Last tour i asked for a lot of input with polls of what everyone wanted etc. This time i will select a variety of wine, food and Gin tastings so there will be a little bit of everything. If there are any "must do" requests please stae them so i can attempt to satisfy the request.

That’s fabulous. @GPH will be much happier with wine included.

If I could be so bold, I’d rather pay a premium to hire a coach instead of a minivan as per @buzzard wine tours. A lot more comfortable and more room for purchases. Lol

Full coaches in short supply down here, and much more expensive than Buzz gets them for. Last time we only had 8 people from memory and 10 later for dinner. So a full bus will blow out the expense in a big way. @RooFlyer Do you remember the quote you had for the full bus?

Sorry, no, can't remember but i will second that coaches and busses difficult to get here, especially during 'cruise ship season' (which is now about November to or past Easter).

One coach you could try if you go that way is Seabourne coaches, Peter Seabourne 0407 910 931. He's based at Orford (depot might be at Sorell??) Really easy going and obliging - he drove an excursion I was on on the weekend.

Back to silver.Next contract only to early Feb.might be more but nothing certain.

I'm afraid March 21 has become 'unavailable' for me so if the event goes ahead, and is on this date, I'm a most regretful apology - was looking forward to it, but the planets do not always align.

After missing the first event, I am unfortunately going to be missing the second event too.

I will be in Bali that weekend!

This date may now resume availability for me. Apologies for the vacillation, other stuff that I cannot control is happening. I won't know for sure till late this month. I appreciate that there may be cutoff dates for various activities, just have to wear that and what happens, happens.
