2019 Ambassador changes

I was looking for this. My cert expires April 1st, 2020, however, I was trying to booking IC Mel for Easter 2020. It shows me I can continue the booking.

Just wondering, if I use my current one to book one room and wait till April 2020 upon renewal of my membership and book another room on the same two nights at same hotel, will it work
I'd say not, on the first one; The vouchers say they should be redeemed by a given date, and the actual redemption date is generally at the time of the stay, and not in advance (i.e. when you book the stay). You could always try IHG / Ambassador customer service and see whether there is any other way... possibly to pre-pay and so 'redeem' cert 1 ahead of the stay? Let us know how you go!

Cheers,
Matt.

Same situation with me.
I've started 'paying off' an AMB Cert. weekend in the Royal Opera Suite at IC Sydney.
My online booking shows reservation attracts one night tariff, with two night stay.
Cert. Expiry May 2020. Booking June 2020.

Just noticed they have changed the wording, this is from an upcoming stay...
AMBASSADOR WEEKEND NIGHT CERTIFICATE REDEMPTION. PAY FOR FIRST NIGHT AND GET SECOND NIGHT FREE. MINIMUM OF 2 NIGHT WEEKEND STAY. FULL COST OF BOOKING WILL BE DISPLAYED UPON RESERVATION. SECOND WEEKEND NIGHT WILL BE CREDITED TO BILL. COMPLIMENTARY WEEKEND NIGHT MUST BE VALID AT CHECK IN TIME. (my bolding)
So you could have continued the booking but you wouldn't be valid when you checkin

That's just what I'm doing ...
Getting my three grand paid off bit-by-bit, prior to the expiry of my AMB Cert.
( see my Sydney IC post on Royal Opera Suite ).

I recon you are 100% correct on this ( after asking a few questions, and looking up the T&Cs ).
