May I ask where is this sort of comment is coming from? This is rather “off” I must add.

It looks likes it may have since been deleted, at least. Maybe made in haste?

Fair enough. My apologies. Thank you for pointing it out.
Thank you for responding. I would not want to see your reputation tarnished over this. You are a great contributor on AFF and should I not agree with everything that you post I’m always happy to read your posts with interest.

I think that there is a simple solution - QF should just ban D grade musicians - especially if they are planning a reality TV show.

On the racism thing though I did chuckle a little when I saw this at the bottom of the current page for this thread about allegations of racism - is there something you aren't telling us AFF?

Might be seen as overkill, but maybe FAs need to wear body cameras to eliminate the he said/ she said conundrum.

Staff on NSW TrainLink (long distance trains) do. There are posters on some trains advertising this. I'm not sure how much body language a camera could pick up in the confines of an aircraft, because its field of vision would be very restricted.

However there's controversy in Victoria playing out in courts (non-transport sector) about how some Victoria Police members allegedly switched off these cameras at 'important moments' during a recent demonstration where arrests were made.

Would airline staff like to have all their galley chit-chat recorded if they forgot to turn such cameras off? And they may forget to switch them on again when returning to attend to passengers, or get heartily sick very quickly of the on/off/on/off parade.

In a world where we are all probably recorded on CCTV hundreds of times a day already, I'm sure my flying and travel won't suffer one iota if crew wear body cams. I reckon nobody would take any notice of them after the first few weeks. Might be a good incentive for the likes of the V's and Will-whatshisface to wind back the DYKWIA attitude though.

Maybe a few more of us need to tell them either DC or DHAFC

Even if will.i.am was in the wrong, I tend to agree with the sentiment that QF flight attendants seem less polite (or more rough) compared to their Asian counterparts like SQ or CX.

...I am surprised that there aren't a bunch of in-cabin cameras.
Your average Sydney train and bus has quite a few

If you mean CCTVs, the layout and height of airline seats might prove a barrier to recording vision.

Well done Qantas.
Qantas says it is willing to help one of its cabin crew members take defamation action against pop star will.i.am if he does not retract his accusation she racially discriminated against him.

EK has them on the 777 and I believe at least 12 or so on the 380. In any case I doubt they record audio so wouldn’t necessarily help with a he said, she said situation.

As for body cameras - don’t let two stories out of the millions of people that fly suggest that is required. These incidents have made the news because of their large number of followers. Anyone else would have written in and it would have been dealt with accordingly- as you’d expect from any business, not played out in front if the entire world.

Maybe if a passenger posted the story on social media it might garner some attention (like the JQ crew and the family that was offloaded) - they were also alleging racism, but didn’t have 13 million fans sending hate to the crew afterwards.

This celebrity is a bully. If he was a white male Hollywood would have frocked-up by now. Bullying and intimidation of someone without your degree of power is disgusting.
will.I.am, you are a d.I.ck.

The Veronicas have chimed in with some lies. They had a male CSM and a female FA according to their photo and this incident involved a female CSM - so their claim it was the same woman is rubbish.

a B grade celebrity who is past their prime, and has recently done their own reality show, adding lies to a event unrelated to them?!?!!?!?

who would have thought!!
