Is first $1000 still fee free?

I asked EBP about the first $1000. Their reply was:


Hi Peter,

The first $1000 per month free will be removed under the new changes. It was necessary to remove this and increase the merchant fee in line with the increased costs incurred to operate the Easy Bill Pay Service.

You can continue using EBP service free of charge through other top up methods we offer, such as direct debit from your nominated bank accounts, EFT transfer into your EBP account or Bpay into your EBP account.

I think that the EBP team will gain a rude shock after Oct 12 when the cashflow dries up.

Yep got the same problem. Perhaps overwhelmed by the rush before the rate goes up?

i have put through a 7 figure amount over the past few months through EBP which will come to an end post October 12th!

EBP have earnt more than 10K in fees from me but I have now stopped using their service since October 12th
