Any recent experiences with accommodation in Whistler? We will be travelling with a 6 year old so ski in ski out is preferable. Currently we are thinking of staying at the Fairmont but interested in any feedback on other places also.

We visited with a child about that age and stayed at Evolution which is located in Whistler Creekside.

It’s a 3 minute drive from the main Whistler village but has ski-in access and a gondola to get back up the mountain.

Evolution has one and two bedroom self contained apartments.

Edit: Photos in previous posts here and here.

Cant speak about winter but we"ve just returned from our 4th visit to the Four Seasons which is just fabulous in every which way but I noticed they have a Four Seasons ski Concierge location just next to Blackcomb so that might just work for you

Check out alluradirect. Most private Whistler rentals seem to use them.

I also stayed at the Four Seasons and it is very nice and would recommend but it is a little way away from town so expect a walk. Nice big rooms and good service. Seems good value prices too.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Thanks, I will take a look. I gather you do a bit of snow/skiing travel with your child. Any other location recommendations for family friendly skiing?

Thanks. What time of year are you travelling there? I am normally a Four Seasons fan but I have read some bad, albeit old, reviews of FS Whistler. It seems that peak period is not a good time to visit there as the usual FS ethos is overwhelmed by transient worker malaise.

We stayed at the Westin, adjacent to the Village Gondola. We had a 1BR apartment with adjoining room = 2BR apartment and really liked it. Especially the location.

I'll have a look - thanks

What time of year were you staying there? Was it a recent stay?

Can Highly recommend the Hilton - ski in / Ski out - Fantastic staff.

Thanks, I'll have a look

My most recent trip was Norway and we went to Hafjell which is just up the road (10min drive) from Lillehammer.

Miss H progressed from the kiddy slopes to a black run in 12 days.

Details in my TR here

Lady C we travel to the Four Seasons in July and the staff and rooms are just fabulous....Just as you would expect from them...We are headed back again next July so that says it all !!!!...Now the hotel is located in the Upper Village where there is a very handy small grocery express and if the walk to the village doesnt suit then there is the free shuttle bus provided by both Four Seasons and Whistler Village

I had read the first section a few months back but will need to catch up on it. Great to read how quickly Miss H has progressed!
