Qatar Qsuites coming to Auckland-Doha route in June

Finally! As per NZHerald, Qatar has confirmed the Qsuite product coming to the Auckland Doha route from 1st of June. As I have a flight booked in September, I am delighted with this news!

ADL also will be getting the Qsuites starting August 16th whilst SYD will be getting the new A350-1000 starting October 28th. Very keen to try them out one day, perhaps on the return leg to ADL

BA had this for decades now- it’s weird on takeoff, pretty when you look out the window at the engines (my first one was on 787 and the wings bending in flight is a sight to behold...) and a non event during flight. But defo worth doing once at least!

Q suites are already on the route, just not consistently. Had a feeling they would save the last 2 for Auckland. Hope one rotates off soon for a refurb which will greatly increase chances of Q suites.

Oh, I have eagerly tracking the aircraft used since I made my booking a few weeks back. Still more often than not, you get a plane that hasn’t been refurbed yet.

Saying that, to me this announcement sounds like from 1st June they expect their last two to be fitted with the new cabin interior. On my bookings, both the outbound and return have now changed to a Qsuite and i’ve booked the first two cuddle seats in the middle for both flights.
