A couple of years ago I took some flights between HND and ICN on OZ and credited to Asiana

For that I earned a little over a thousand lifemiles. They expire in a week I wondered what to do with them.

I could buy some but even just for another thousand it'll cost USD33 ... and I don't want to go there.

Any other suggestions on how to keep them alive ... or just let them expire? No harm really for me in that.

The obvious question-why do you want to keep them alive?
Mrsdrron got an email today from HH saying her points will disappear on June 1st.She will let the 461 points vanish.

WHat, 4612 goota be worth at least $2.30 :)

With the current share promo I can now transfer 1000 of them to SWMBO to get a bonus 1125 for USD15 ....

... I could transfer 2k back for USD30 to have 4500 ...

Are Lifemailes worth 2¢?

They can be but not really in or out of Australia.
I use mine for F awards elsewhere in the world and value ~3 cents. If I value them at the actual cost of F maybe 5-6 cents but I wouldn't pay actual price hence my lower valuation.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Haven't looked lately but it was possible to make a charity donation of points-it used to reset expiry of the remainder of points
