Little Miss TomCat has landed!

Famous last words from my perspective, I can't remember the number of times I survived by having a spare t-shirt and shorts in the car.

Mrs QF WP and I will always remember CNS QC and Miss QF WP. Boarding called and she decided to empty her bowels which went everywhere (and I mean everywhere) - needless to say it was easier to take off and throw away the entire outfit and clean her up, whilst I let the QC staff know we might be the last ones to board...

l was trying to not be indelicate (Hvr, turn away now), but there are the problems of large mustard coloured circles on the front of you a bit lower down. I had to check into a 5 star hotel in SIN like that and brazen it out. But, other than that travelling with a baby is a breeze.

Oh yes. Little white patches on shoulders and dark clothing don’t work well.

Oh I have had toddler accidents in the cafeteria of department stores, projectile vomits in a shopping car park, giardiasis terror in Qld on a catamaran, and that’s just the ones that come readily to mind. MrP has gone to work with a patch on the shoulder, not knowing. And just remembered on a Queensland road trip we had another vomit at MrBarker just 30 minutes into a 24 hour drive. And like sand it gets in everywhere and sand doesn’t smell.

Oh, did we not tell you this before Ms BC? Oops.

We had a friend - coach to the kids who came from Sydney and stayed with us while coaching. He went through a phase when he was obviously deciding to have children and asked us lots of questions. We gave him glowing testimonials on the joys of having a family. After his wife was pregnant, we then told him all the bad things :)

Well we survived the grocer, the physio, Aldi and the Post Office with no incidents :D:p [he says smugly] I'm well aware that things will change...

You have got it all wrong TV - when the baby is perfect she belongs to BC, when she spews and poops all over everything she is your baby.

At least that how it worked in our house :D:D

We were always a partnership - Mrs QF WP fed and I burped and settled them generally on my chest whilst sitting down watching TV (after all, men are warmer, don't smell of milk and a different heart rate and voice modulation, so good skin on skin bonding).

Saturday was Daddy Day (from the moment they came home from hospital, for both of ours). I was responsible for them from the moment they woke until they fell asleep, apart from (of course) breast feeding. It's amazing just to watch them sleep - children at their best ;). Gave Mrs QF WP a break and me bonding time. Worked well for about 8 years...

sounds like us - I did the night shift (Mr FM had a separate bedroom) and after the morning feed he took over, so I could get some sleep.

As the kids got older we continued to share all duties. Master FM once told me, Mum is for cuddles, but Dad is more fun. We had a non standard life, with both of us woking at home, so Mr FM was very involved.

Yes, I would help out on the feeds (if Mrs QF WP expressed) until midnight as I am a night owl but I needed my 6 hours of sleep so Mrs QF WP needed to do the graveyard shift and I'd wake at 6am and get the (generally stirring) baby for the first feed of the morning in our bed and that started me bringing in a biscuit and cuppa (like my father did for my mum - looks like history repeated).

I hope @TomVexille is taking notes ;)
